Callum Smith vs David Morrell

I think Callum Smith has enough nous in his game to get the decision here especially if he can turn up on his best day. I was really impressed by his performance against Buatsi in which I thought Buatsi would win but Morrell is a completely different fighter.

Morrell has looked iffy in his last 3 fights when he stepped up in competition.

 

Morrell just got his ass whooped by Imam Khataev and got a gift. He knows he lost.
His confidence will be low after that.

Smith is not in his prime but is still good, and should still know too much for Morrell.

 

Morrell looked underwhelming last fight, but that was mainly due to mental reasons as I think he has all the talent and tools to be a top fighter. Regardless he is going to beat the crap out of callum smith and stop him. I always found it laughable how so many still think he is a top fighter, when he has only ever proven to be euro level imo.

 

Morrell by stoppage.

 

What are people seeing in Callum Smith that I am missing? He is C level. If ever there was a confident building fight for Morrell to take this would be it. Smith will offer no reistance.

If Morrell doesn't stop Smith, I'm off his train completely. He really seemed to lack confidence in his last fight compared to the fighter before Benavidez. I hope we see the old Morrell. Smith really is the perfect opponent for him.

Surprised DAZN wants to go back to Liverpool after that Ball fight. I'm also surprised Morrell's team is willing to go there. Fair play to him; absolutely everything is going to be against him. He probably has to win by stoppage, and he definitely has the tools to do so. Chances are, he probably gets robbed on the cards as Ryder did. Khataev is a beast, very underrated, possibly juicing, quite the combo, Morrell was lucky to get the win but Khataev probably beats Smith.

Callum Smith is a tough fight. Hes a very good fighter - was a really impressive win against Buatsi.

 

After how badly Morrell got outboxed by Khataev (and the Benavidez fight was pretty one sided too) I’m just not sold on Morrell. His only good win is Hot Rod and he won that by a hair. Odd choice of opponent for him, probably should’ve gone on the rebuild route.

Nick Ball was losing on the cards before the KO.
UK isn't nowhere near as corrupt like USA. In fact, it's one of the fairest places.

I expect Smith to win.
