U fortunately there's a few on this forum who if they don't like someone always say there scared there **** and belittle there achievements etc. Anyone who follows boxing closely knows Dirrell never wanted anything to do with Smith, maybe because every time his brother faced one he was beat.

 

The only person who seems to claim the fight was being pushed back to October was Tesco Joe who somehow overheard some rumours from 5000 miles away.
He's turned down a world title fight and also, you claim a blockbuster PPV with Degale in London to fight a much easier opponent in his hometown.
The series doesn't seem to have TV backing in the UK so the Eubank/Groves talk is ifs and maybes.

I'm saying the series won't go ahead as smoothly as planned and Smith shouldn't have ducked a world title fight.

You've been banging the drum a lot about Smith 'apparently' ducking Dirrell despite all the well documented delaying tactics. Well Dirrell's once again pulled out of a fight, this time with Benavidez. How much more of fighters careers is he gonna waste?

 

Benavidez stepped up to the plate and now gets a shot at the world title. Do you think Smith would have fought Benavidez?

 

I think Smith would fight anyone personally. I rate Benavidez massively but that is beside the point. Had it still been Smith scheduled to fight Dirrell this would have been yet another postponement. For all his messing about, the WBC have probably got fed up with waiting for him.

 

And Smith would be fighting for the world title but instead he has gone for an easier fight in his hometown.

 

Yet his own promoter seems bemused at him ducking Degale for a world title fight before he ducked Dirrell for another one.

 

It's like doing a dump in my hand and clapping having this debate with you. I give up.

 

I'm not prejudiced with local bias to boxers. You choose to ignore the fact that Smith has turned down 2 different world title holders for an easier fight in his hometown.

 

Neil Marsh seems to have a few fighters on this bill- no news on TV rights as yet.

 

I'll not deny that I'm biased but I'm also seeing it from a personal point of view too...how long do you keep on waiting for your rightful opportunity to fight for a world title or in any walk of life, how long do you wait when you know the other person is deliberately stalling and thus stifling your progress? How long would you have waited mate when you know they're taking the you know what?

I don't get what happened with Degale mate, I don't know his reasons but chances are Smith is gonna run right into Groves in this tournament and many would consider him a more dangerous prospect than Degale (plus there's about 40 million on the winner).
