    Groves all day for me.

He's given the 2nd best SMW in the world - only placed behind Ward who's a special fighter - and one of the best fighters to come out of Britain a good run for his money twice.. Smith is a top prospect but he isn't beating Groves at this stage for me.

Callum's been a pro for over two years and hasn't found a single opponent that was capable of testing his whiskers.

He's a long way off George and the like.

Callums head is a stationary target, I think he lasts a couple rounds longer than his big bro did

More evidence that the ego of Joe Gallagher isn't based on reality. George Groves is a headline act, a man who can pack an arena with 10,000 people against an unknown. Also headlined two Pay-per-View bills.
Callum Smith is a decent, untested prospect who hasn't even proven himself the best 168 pounder in Liverpool.
Gallagher not only thinks Smith deserves the fight, but that it would be in Liverpool too. Comedy genius.

Rebrasse was originally offered the fight, and refused to fight Callum. Rebrasse and Brian Vera both turned it down. Callum would box Rebrasse head off

Both have never beat a top 15 in the world opponent, Callum after 2 years as a pro and George after 7 years or so.

Why did they turn the fights down? $$ would be the obvious answer rather than being scared of fighting Callum.

Rebrasse had just come off a fight vs Groves and Vera had just fought Chavez Jr, neither are going to be scared to face an untested prospect.

Anfield my ****. Might be a good fight towards the end of next year, but Groves is way ahead of Smith at this point. Things might change quickly though if Groves is fighting DeGale and/or Dirrell next year.

Groves, the big name coming off the Froch fights who brings more £££ and draws more interest in the fight or Smith a prospect that hasn't got the big name?

Groves also coming off a low point in his career.

Pretty obvious why Rebrasse would jump at the Groves fight.

Also, look at how wide the scorecards were in Groves v Rebrasse... would it not be fair to say he got his head boxed off?

George was robbed in the first fight against Froch and was winning the second until stopped.

What has Callum done in comparison?

Callums 15-0 and being raved about, but compare him to what Groves was also doing in under 15 fights is it really that special? I'd say that Groves has more to shout about with what he achieved in the same number of fights?

    Not to knock Callum by any means because I do think he's a big talent and can't wait to see how he develops, but in comparison to Groves;

8th fight, win the Commonwealth title.

10th fight, as a 21 year old beats an undefeated Kenny Anderson who won CW gold at LHW.

12th fight, beats undefeated Olympic gold medallist Degale to win the British title.

13th fight, blasts out Paul Smith in 2 rounds who recently went 12 rounds in a close fight for a world title against Abraham.

15th fight, beats an admittedly over the hill Glen Johnson but does it much more convincingly than Carl Froch who'd faced him 1 year prior.
