I knew Fowler has no ability to cut off the ring and is slow of foot but the fact that he is so gun-shy against a light hitting fighter like Scarff is concerning

 

Just noticed something on Boxrec,

Fowler ranked 39th in the world.

Fitzgerald ranked 44th.


How is that possible? Fitzgerald beat Fowler and then went on to win the British Title.

Also Fowler never held the British Title.


Somebody explain this to me?

 

This is why I love boxing. Vegas isn’t the best at capping odds. He was -200 to win by KO but it seems likely it’s going the distance. Lot of money to be made if you felt he wouldn’t get the KO. Now, I picked the under so I’ll probably lose but I only placed a small bet so it’s fine.

 

They have always had a weird algorithm for their rankings. Sometimes they make sense and others they don’t at all.
