    This post makes little sense.

    1. Most people who watched it live concluded that Ryder won. Look at the reactions online post-fight, nothing to do with watching it in slow motion, upside down and in the dark.

    2. I'm guessing you're overweight - why is it that people in certain populations have almost non-existent rates of obesity when they eat a high carbohydrate, low fat, largely plant-based diet? Rural China, China pre-McDonaldisation and Westernisation, Blue Zones, Okanawans etc. Stop making excuses.

    Anyway, Ryder won.

I'm curious how many people rescored it. I only thought there were a few rounds that were really clear to Ryder, and likewise only a few that were really clear to Smith. In the early rounds both landed a lot on the gloves. I think Smith done well to rally most (though not all of the time) where Ryder had success, and scored a bit more between the action.

Its one of those fights that ets skewed by Ryder being the masve underdog.

Its always the case that when the massive underdog pushes the avourite close, they give the close rounds to the underdog

Round 1. Callum Smith. The first half was all Smith. Ryder rallied twice, the first time he mostly hit his arms, the second time he landed a few good shots, but after that it was Smith again.
Round 2. John Ryder. Neither landed much clean again, but Ryder landed the best punches, fairly similar in terms on business with Smith was a more constant workrate, while Ryder is more in bursts.
Round 3. Callum Smith. First half is basically all Smith, though not a ton landed. Ryder does better in the second half, but Callum kept working. Neither landed a lot clean, so Smith on overall workrate for me.
Round 4. John Ryder. Very clear round for Ryder, landing far more clean punches
Round 5. Callum Smith. Had the better start, Ryder started to take over, but Smith finished strong to secure the round for me. I think Smith was busier overall and landed more clean shots.
Round 6. Callum Smith. I think this one is pretty clear, probably his best round.
Round 7. John Ryder. Just nicked it for me. A lot of untidy work and landing on the gloves, but with enough clean shots to win the round. Smith landed some decent punches. Pretty entertaining round.
Round 8. John Ryder. A bit more accurate, and his rallies with Smith on the ropes were enough to seal the round for him
Round 9. Even. Very little in this one, Smith a bit busier, Ryder landed a bit cleaner in general. I initially gave it to Smith, but even is probably more fair.
Round 10. Callum Smith. Pretty close, but I think Smith did enough good work at range to win the round overall.
Round 11. John Ryder. Easilly his best round of the fight. Ryder fought like an animal, and had Smith hurt. Smith landed enough to stop it being a 10-8, especially early on.
Round 12. Callum Smith. Ryder had the stronger finish, but Smith stayed in there, and had a stronger start. Very good comeback from the last round.

Not saying any of this is objectively true or somesuch nonsense, just how I see it. Very close fight overall, can easilly see why someone would score it for Ryder.

Bro I did the same the other day and thought exactly the same. People think aggression and scuffed punches, punches to arms elbows wins you fights. It doesn't.

I had Smith winning 7-5, 8-4 for the cleaner work. Although Ryder made it very competitive

Sounds like you should have gone to Specsavers mate.

I like Smith but Ryder was peppering him all night and making him look like quite the clumsy oaf at times.

I'll stop short at saying Smith was exposed but if Ryder came close, how much closer will Clenelo come?

    Good fight.

Yes he does... Regardless, Smiths shot got through more in the rounds I gave to him

I watched this live and was on the RBR. It was a clear cut decision for John Ryder. He won 9-3.

It was a clear cut robbery that I seen coming long before the decision was announced. I seen the robbery coming when from the first bell, when the Sky commentators were incessantly biased in favor Cullum Smith, who unsurprisingly is signed to Matchroom Boxing which has an exclusive deal with Sky. This is the definition of "home cooking". The Sky commentators were doing such a brown-nosing that Jossef Goebbels would have blushed on the spot.

It was a robbery. One of the worst I have seen. It was exactly one week after Kash Farooq was also robbed on a MTK show. At the time I remember just think to myself to make sure never to pay to watch any boxing ever again. I would not like to fund such
    corruption and theft.

Lol. You are judging “most people” by what websites you visit and your circle. That is not “most people”

As I stated in my original post those certain VOCAL groups who feel their fighter won (when their fighter didn’t get the decision) are always the loudest simply because they feel wronged. Those who thought Smith won simply agreed that it was close, agreed with the decision and moved on.

I’m not overweight and was using that as an example from clinical psychology.

When people, such as yourself, have to resort to insults like that “I guessing you’re overweight” it’s usually because they feel attacked. I wasn’t attacking you, or Ryder. I simply have my own opinions.

I’m glad you’re passionate about the sport but you seem very hostile as well. I was stating my opinion, nothing more. You can disagree with others and still be polite.
