And this is at the heart of these perceptions. Everyone on these and any other sporting boards get kudos for disagreeing with the actual results. It makes them seem "more knowledgeable". It shows that they have "an opinion". Agreeing with the actual results never gets you any brownie points on a sports forum. That's why eventually most sports forums get dominated by an increasingly smaller group of like minded conspiracy theorists who sit around in a "circle jerk".

This year, I can count the number of actual robberies on one hand. The number of disputable decisions on a forum are always much higher based on people's preferences, support for fighters, dislike of others, etc.
