How do you guys see this playing out? Will Braehmer's superior boxing skills be enough to beat Smith or will Smith's size and strength break Braehmer down.

Smith KO. I question Braehmers heart. I would actually like to see Juergen win the whole thing to upset the british applecart a bit.

I am one of the simpletons who predicted Jr. to win last night, so I may very well get this wrong. But I believe Smith has too much for the shopworn Braehmer at this point. Braehmer may have been more impressive in the QF, but come on, Brand was terrible. Skoglund on the other hand was very game, and Smith still beat him rather convincingly. I go for Smith by UD.

Really not sure about this one. Smith doesn't seem to have a plan B against awkward opponents. And Braemer will be awkward.

I think Smith's size, strength and youth will be enough for a UD. But i don't say that with much conviction.

Brähmer looked very young and alive against Brant and it looked like a routine win for him. Against Smith he's going to go full Brähmer. Brähmer MD.

I voted Smith, but I am far from certain... Braehmer can be very awkward and Smith will have to come up with a new plan to win.

Jurgen B is slicker than an eel on a water chute. Smith ain't ever seen slickness like that before. Jurgen B knocked out Ricky Hatton in a round in the amateurs, it took prime Floyd 10 rounds to get fat, bloated, shot alcoholic coke fiend Hatton out of there.

The biggest drawback in going with Braehmer is his age and fragility. Because apart from that he has the skills to cause Smith all sorts of grief and then the hometown judges to give him an advantage assuming it goes to the cards. I think he'll start out well but it wouldn't be surprising if he breaks down and retires mid-late like against Cleverly.

his age and fragility??? yes, on paper he is 40, but it´s not like he is slowing down. he only lost one fight in the last ten years.........and that was due to a shoulder injury. in his last fight he fought as well as ever.

and him bein fragile?? i dont think he was ever down in his whole Career!!

I'm a big fan and give him a very good chance here. But it's definitely something to consider going into the fight.

As for fragility.. That doesn't just pertain to punch resistance. i.e Haye is considered physically fragile now due to all of the injuries that have piled on top of one another over the years, same with Tyson at the end of his career. JB obviously has a good chin....

Stodgy Smith gets the job done. Wins the tourney, actually, thus vindicating his decision to not go the WBC route.

A poor era for SMW, this.

Either Brähmer or Groves will beat Smith. Smith is a bit overrated in my opinion, I don't see anything special in him apart from his size at 168.
