Smith's above him.. Degale's would be getting beat up to body and head all night long. Degale woulnd't be able to get lazy on the ropes with his stamina issues against Smith.

Don't know why Degale's gets overhyped when you look at his past performances he's never been that impressive in almost all his fights, whereas Callum has always been impressive.

Also.. Murray- Degale is a 50/50 fight

Ah now c'mon. Callums looked great and all but there are levels in boxing. Degales a world champ. Callum has just won the British. Maybe in a years time we will have a better idea. But degale would have to be a big favourite at the moment. At least till callum gets more experience. And degale wins a wide decision against Murray IMO. Hope froch comes back to put degale in his place though. Always fancied degale to have the style to beat froch up until Degales last fight that is. Now I reckon froch would stop him when degale slows down in the 2nd half. That's if froch comes back the same fighter of coursr

it was a WBC eliminator also and Callum is in the top 10 in the world and I think hes number 1 with the WBC.. He wouldn't be a 'big' favourite. Degale is no Froch or Calzaghe put it that way. Callum will have Degale's number trust me... He's the real deal. Smith is a more special talent than Degale.

Is callum a better fighter??? Maybe, it remains to be seen. But degale is definitely more talented. He won Olympic gold. You gotta have sumtin special about ya to win that. Right now Id put my money on degale. Definitely. He's alot more experience. I know that fight was an eliminator but it means nothing unless it's a final one. Bellew v cleverly 2 was an eliminator.... It will be 2017 before callum fights for a world title. Maybe this time next year at the very very earliest

Degale was a 40/1 outsider to win the olympics he did nothing of note as an amateur before that.. But fair play he pulled it out of the bag when it mattered.

But this is the pro game and Callum I think has the better tools as a pro, and I think he'd be too much for Degale

Degale lost to groves and couldve easily lot against Wilczewski that couldve gone either way. the only good win degale has is Dirrell and that was razor thin victory. Smith has destroyed everyone with ease so far or comfortably outpointed them.

Degale is really really overrated on forums, people saying hes the number 1 at 168 it's laughable.

degale obvs has the better resume at this stage, but take away the dirrell win and their wins are the same.. but smiths been knocking guys out in spectular fashion and winning wide points decisions whilst degale was boring people to sleep in laboured wins in lesure centres.

Absolute garbage of a thread. Murray isnt even a proper super middle. Degale stands him on his head. Smith isnt on Degale level yet.

lol what the **** has degale done as a pro for him to be so far ahead of them in your mind

I guarantee you Degale wouldn't last 10 rounds with Golovkin, Murray's a top fighter as he'll prove again on saturday.

Smith would wipe the floor with Degale

Has Murray or Smith better anyone the level of Dirrell? Answer, nope. Do any of them have a world title strap around their waste? Answer, nope. Do any of them have Gold medal pedigree? Nope.

Smith has bags of talent but he is yet to prove it against anybody. As for Murray, at Super middle?? You will find out tomorrow when Abraham beats him.

If you know about boxing you will know he was robbed, go and watch fight on youtube. He should have won fight by a landslide but the Azerbaijan fighter i think it was got the most disgraceful decision I have seen in amateur boxing. You could ask why good amateurs like Scott Harrison, and Carl Froch never went to the Olympics at they were the first Brit (Harrison case) and Englishman in Frochs to win medals at the World Amateurs. Both though had long reigns as professional world champions. Being a top amateur does not mean you will be a top pro, and having a near non existent amateur career does not mean you cant become a world class pro. For the record Callum Smith was a world class amateur and is a world class pro, and yes he would beat DeGale.
