I've been watching this kid for awhile now, sometimes he looks unstoppable then he'll look terrible in his next fight.
When is he gonna step up? it's just bum after bum after bum, just filling space in on under cards.
I don't blame him too much for his bad performances, sometimes it looks like he doesn't wanna be there, knows he can win the fight an switches off and then looks poor.

He wants to fight the winner of Jack v DeGale, yet he hasn't stepped up in opponent even slightly yet? I don't get how these bums will prepare him for DeGale.

Not ready for the big time yet IMO, but I suppose if DeGale beats Jack which is possible, he could be up next for DeGale in the UK. DeGale would beat him.

He's potentially a monster, even going to LHW he'd dominate. But I worry he will soon become Gallagher-ized.

You just stole my thought! Exactly this. *Gallagher-ized* will make a dictionary one day.

Gallagher-ized = the morphing of all boxing talent into a slowly walking forward fighting zombie with the sole purpose of landing a left to the body in the second half of fights. Effective up to and including fringe world class only.

Tell me about it,SKY replayed the Frampton v Quigg fight today and the fact that he told him he was doing well in those first six rounds speaks volumes,Quigg never even threw any jabs until round 7 and then he did really well, when interviewed Quigg was asked if he should of done more early on and he said no it was the plan to do nothing, not a fan of Gallagher at all.

There's already been worrying signs of it in his last few fights. Even against bums he's been slowly moving forward with a tight high guard. He should be walking straight through these cans inside a round or 2, y'know like he was when he was exciting to watch and before signs of Gallagherisation came into play.

Dangerous opponent but if he wants to step up he should take on Bute who impressed me against De Gale and Jack, how Bute comes on in the championship rounds is something else given his age ect?

I think Bute is shot to bits and Callum would KO him. Good name for his CV though. He is not ready at all to fight someone elite like DeGale, he would be completely outclassed if they do that next year.

Yeah well he was gifted a draw against Jack, honestly I thought the same about him being shot to bits esp his three fights after Froch but against De Gale and Jack I thought he looked good but you're right Smith ought to win and it would be good for his CV?

He did better than expected against both Jack and DeGale but should have lost to Jack as well. I think I had that card 7-5 for Jack. But even at this point in Bute's career I wouldn't count him out against most at 168, and I think he could probably beat Smith right now. He's got too much experience.

Yeah esp down the finish,he beat both De Gale and Jack in those last three rounds,he needs to start off that way I reckon?

He wont beat degale with average joe and his have a look for 4 rounds nonsense, degale always starts fast will be out of site if gallagher uses the normal gameplan.

Callum smith has no world level wins. Not even a top 20 win. He is the most overrated boxer in the game imo.
