    There was no great surprise last night. Most people
    knew ward would win against froch. Most experts, self
    proclaimed and authentic, had ward the favorite. Book
    makers had him 3-1. Yet, somehow he's now the greatest SMW
    ever, #2 p4p, and just too good to have to face an undefeated
    fellow SMW who's earned his shot and traveled to another
    country to be on hand to challenge the winner.
    Listen fanboys, let me make one thing clear. If andre ward
    does not fight lucian bute outside of oakland, then he is NOT
    the undisputed SMW champion. GOT IT?
    There isn't one fighter is any division in the history of boxing
    who's been regarded as THE CHAMP while there is an undefeated
    and compelling challenger in his division calling him out.
    Ward backpedaled jim gray's question last night when asked
    about Bute. Ward suddenly needed to talk to his team, and
    go on a LONG break. Virgil ****er went on record as to say he
    didn't think that bute deserved to fight the winner of S6.
    Team Ward knew they would beat Froch, just like they KNOW
    they will lose to bute.

    While i agree that Ward can't be called the undisputed champ at 168 while Bute is out there and undefeated, he still has to be rated #1 at the moment based on resume.
    Fact is, Ward has beaten 2 elite 168-pounders and Bute has beaten none. That's not to say that Bute couldn't do it if given the opportunity, but so far he hasn't done it.

    And BTW, it is in fact possible to be a Ward fan and give him his just due WITHOUT going overboard and putting him up there with the all-time greats or some **** like that.

    It's worth noting that the TS was very adamant that Kessler would not only beat Ward, but would dominate him. He also labeled anyone who picked Ward as a racist.

    Ward beat Froch last night not Bute and Kessler has not had a significant fight since he beat Froch nearly two years ago.

    Give me a break! Anyone who knows anything about boxing rated Bute as #2 before this fight. Before the S6 Ring magazine had Bute as #1. Nobody gave Froch any chance in this fight.

    Bute proved his worth to me when he lost to Andrade but still won, has Froch ever been KO'd and still won? no? ok then :bart
