I am 6'3 230 lbs heavyweight. Here is my tradtional workout, 1.5 hours on the heavybag, 30 minutes on the speed bag, 30 minutes on the double end bag. Thank god for an IPOd. I go at a good pace, roughly, how many calories would you guys say is a fair estimate of how many calories, I burn?

I hear thinking makes you lose weight. You should think about losing weight. Maybe it works? :good

But no, srsly you should to cardio and the heavybag would be great as well.

I'd say 1,279 sounds about right.

A 2 and a half hour workout? How many calories do you burn?
Lets just say don't worry about eating a fourth potatoe at dinner time!

Unless you have been training for years and built up to that stage then 1.5 hours on heavybag sounds way too much. Intense training is best.

you guys are crazy. 1.5 hours on the heavy bag is not a long time. It is hard, most places I go to you rarely get someone to hold the pads or if they do hold them they ***** about it and hurting there shoulders. I start off, doing inside punches and work my way around with hooks and then combination punches, lead right hands. I have find the key to a good jab, is doing 100 in a row with no rest. After the first 50, then u get the burn. I will post some videos over the weekend,

Had the same problem in school. Me and my classmate would punch so wild and as fast and hard as we could and we constantly knocked the pads off each other and bleed from the knuckles. (Shitty ass pads)

You are seriously sacrificing your speed and power if you are hitting a bag for that long. That doesn't make you tough, that makes you an idiot.

You oviously aren't going at a fast fast pace. It would be better to do a third of that at double the pace.
