I haven't always been that kind when talking about Calvin Brock...and it took until his losing effort in the Chambers fight for me to really respect him. However I'm deeply saddened by the news that Calvin is blind in one eye. I knew he had issues with his eye, but I did not understand the situation to be that bleak. Calvin Brock was interviewed where they talk boxing and said... "The diagnosis of my eye is permanent blindness, due to a complication after a surgery... The only thing I can do is have faith in God, and his mircle healing power." If all of the spiritually minded posters at ESB would say a prayer for Calvin's miracle, I'm sure he'd appreciate it.
That's terrible news. Was the original injury from the Chambers fight? Brock is a very smart guy though & God forbid he never regains sight in that eye, he'll still be a success in whatever he does in the future. Isn't Corey "T-Rex" Sanders blind in one eye also?
"I do a commercial real estate program to keep myself busy." he said. Hope he doesn't lose his money on that if his boxing career is over.
Brock was never a great fighter, but he was a game fighter and it's always sad to lose one of them. I'm glad he has a degree and some money to fall back on.
Man what a shame,I thought that he eventually would win a abc belt. His KO over Zuri Lawrence is still in my mind
I remember a few years ago he was pumping "his" travel business that was effectively a multi-level marketing scheme, hope for his sake he learned from that mistake.
Glad he was smart enough to diversify himself. Too bad. He was an underrated fighter and one of the very few to give Wlad problems.
