Froch is too slow for Calzaghe. Calzaghe would ***** slap Carl in the face 1000 times for a lopsided UD 120-108 win. it would have been embarrassing for Carl and he should count his blessings that the fight never went through when he was calling Joe out as it could of had the potential to completely ruin him ala Lacy.

Concerning the Groves fight, anyone could see that the stoppage was premmature, 95% of fans seem to agree. Groves was hurt and tired, but so was Froch. A Froch KO was not a given as Groves has shown before that he can weather storms, so you can all drop this 'Froch was on his way to a brutal KO' nonsense, because you just cannot say that with any certainty unless you have a crystal ball which can reveal past events in alternate universes...

A rematch would be massive and would likely make the most cash for Froch. If he doesn;t take the rematch he can kiss his warrior image goodbye as he will be forever remembered as being the guy who got lucky against GG on the back of a bad decision then avoided a rematch.

When you say 'realistically' you actually mean you're guessing. Sorry, but you can't just assume something's going to happen in boxing. I've seen many men in a far worse state than Groves was come back to win a round or the fight itself. It's absolute rubbish to say he was nailed on to be beaten in that round. So many things can happen inside that ring. One clinch or dart around the ring could have created the time needed to clear his head. That's all.

as soon as the ref grabbed him and announced the fight was over, groves looked perfectly fine. Not on shaky legs or anything. The stoppage was disgusting, simple as that :deal

you cant call the fight either way, that's the truth, groves had the clear edge on points, froch had the edge in hurting his opponent., but no way can you say it was going to KO or points victory to either man that early.

was an early stoppage to me but groves face, being very bright pink and puffy to start with, reflects damage, and his expression magnifies perceived pain plus fatigue so I can see that didn't help the referee - that's probably what GG meant by being perceived as chinny, his very emo face.

Whereas Froch always looks clumsy consistently and pretty much always does lol, so their was no information telling the ref to step in and award GG a tko.

It shows that he is a champion, he may not be the best boxer or the quickest puncher but he finds a way to win. That's a champion.

I do think he should re-match Groves though but Calzaghe cant talk, he would never re-match anyone and when Froch became manadatory he moved up to fight Hopkins!

Calzaghe moved up to a higher weight to fight a better fighter. That is CATEGORICALLY not a DUCK.

in your opinion perhaps. for certain he fought a much older fighter, someone he could gass out if he couldnt outbox, which proved fortunate. There was no way a postprime Cal could outlast prime Froch anymore, and certainly JOe was never going to stop him, he would have to go for points and punch absorption.
