In that case he should rematch Hopkins, I'd say.

 

can't see pavlik getting beat but if he does i dunno, winner of dawson and tarver ? he might as well retire if that happens really.

But have no desire to see a rematch. The first fight was boring, and they can't stand each other, so another press tour will make them both suicidal

I wouldn't mind seeing Calzaghe vs Kessler II, the first was an absolute *******, nip and tuck for six rounds before Joe took over.

 

Retire. I really don't think Calzaghe's heart is fully in boxing anymore.

 

Calz will likely retire. Calz would own Pavlik, and I like Pavlik. Too big and way too fast.

If Calz wanted one more fight, he could go and spank Dawson if Dawson gets past Tarver and if Dawson continues to duck (who am I kidding? Chad will never fight him) Dicanou.

 

id like to see the tarver v dawson winner or froch, he beat hopkins in a dull fight but theres no contest contest on the decision in most peoples eyes

my gut feeling is that he'll fight jones again if he really wants one more, even if pavlik batters hopkins

 

ARTHUR ABRAHAM makes sence. KP could still make happen depending on how bad he losses but i have a feeling he's gonna look silly.

I just want to add to what some others have said. Hopkins is going to have a power edge on Pavlik at this weight, or he should. If Kelly lets his hands down like he did in Taylor I, B-Hop can and will take him out. It's like Tarver-Dawson, except Pavlik's chin isn't as bad as Chad's is.

 

Tarver Dawson winner is for the lower calibre tier i think. Diaconu should fight the winner of that one, then Kessler the winner of that...

I say Pavlik JC anyway. Hopkins winning will not slow the Pavlik train (ie his will, the hype, and his fans), and i still think Pavlik JC would be really fun to watch.

Calzaghe Kessler II would be good, the first was riveting. but i honestly do not see that happening.

 

The only way Dicanou could fight the winner of Tarver/Dawson is if Tarver wins. Dawson refuses to fight Dicanou, having ducked him multiple times. It seems Chad is from the Roy Jones/PBF matchmaking school of cherrypick.

Joe Calzaghe will definitely retire if Pavlik loses, 50-50 if Pavlik wins IMO. If the Roy fight is terrific, FOTY stuff, a Roy rematch is possible.
