how simple of you, B-Hop was actually recharged at 175lbs and he did have his 2 best career wins, he fought weak opposition as middleweight champ and his 2 best wins at that weight were over welterweights, to use age as a factor when you are talking about B-Hop is ridiculous and Calzage wanted to fight Jones earlier, Calzage was a 168lber like Hagler was to 160 and he moved up to accommodate B-Hop and Jones no one thought Hopkins was easy meat but I think Hopkins was looking for a cheep way out to get a win because he knew he was losing
What you are posting doesn't even make sense. Its like this subject has got you so flustered you are just typing random words and phrases. The only person that looks like a nutjob right now is you.
Ugly Terrible fight like Oscar Whitaker Gave it to the less effective aggressor vs the reluctant defender
Even ***** ( allegedly ) who now hates Calzaghe with a vengence still agrees that they thought they had a Hopkins fight in the bag 6 years earlier, only for him to pull out and fight Carl Daniels instead. So where all this waiting for him to turn 40 crap is just that, CRAP.
I know. Calzage won 8 to 4 or if you want to be generous to Hopkins 7-5. Calzahge threw more, landed a higher %, and landed more power shots. The punch stats are below: http://www.***********.com/forums/view.php?pg=compubox-bernard-hopkins-joe-calzaghe Final PunchStat Report Punches Landed / Thrown Total Punches Jabs Power Punches Hopkins 127 / 468 11 / 93 116 / 375 27% 12% 31% Calzaghe 232 / 707 45 / 224 187 / 483 33% 20% 39%
Before the fight I thought Hopkins would win it...Scored the fight for Calzaghe by one point. I really like this fight because stylistically they are the opposite of one another...and cancelled each other out...neither fighter was able to establish anything. I would envision a Greb/Burley fight would play out similarly in the mind's eye.
Let me just take this time to say I hate punch stats. They are absolutely meaningless in boxing. Even their use of the name "powerpunch" to describe any punch that isnt a jab regardless of how hard its thrown is ridiculous. So when someone says slappy threw more powerpunches a la punch stats its ridiculous. This is coming from someone who thought slappy clearly won. Done ranting.
and yet joe did not fight any legends when they were prime, only 40+. that is a fact. a crap fact, but a fact
Answer? This was the only question in that dribble and it was so absurd I assumed it was rhetorical...right? "Are you thus calling Hopkins an idiot deluded fool?"
you are still calling Hopkins a fool. I advise you to run gibbering like calzaghe instead of answering.
No, you are making a baseless accusation that I'm calling Hopkins a fool. Big difference. Answer what? You didnt' even post a question this time.
now you keep running instead of explaining why you think calzaghe was faded but Hopkins was prime, despite the 7 year age difference and hops being in his 40s. now you keep running instead of explaining why joe didn't fight a great when they were prime. why you gotta enjoy running so much? please explain, because you wont sure as hell explain the above two points, you'll just keep this 'OOH I DONT UNDERSTAND U' farce up in order to save face in your lost argument/
