Yup - Calzaghe is the greatest fighter to ever lace 'em up at 168. His talent and accomplishments speak for themselves. There is no more doubt he is one of the greats and a first ballot future HOFer.

I'm looking forward to a Calzaghe vs. Hopkins fight

I think so. I´d give him a 60% chance against RJJ.

nah, his resume is too padded and he waited far too long to make his move. I have nothing but respect for him, but why on earth did he wait til he was 35 to get these fights? He's top 3 or 4 I reckon, James Toney and Roy Jones both beat him relatively easily, and a prime Nigel Benn gives him lotsa trouble.

Roy would probably beat him comfortably, but I would pick him over Toney. And Benn as well.

His resume is actually pretty good as there are some former champions and excellent fighters.

Calzaghe is the most accomplished Super Middleweight fighter ever.

Toe-to-toe, he is not the #1 but he's in the Top3.

Overall, he is the GOAT at 168.

There's a lot of evidence to show both Mosley and Roy Jones were
juicing back in the day. After the Balco scandal and investigation
started up Jones was likely forced to do without his candies. Anyway
we all saw what Tarver did to him. Noway would Joe Cal ever get
owned like that because he's never had to rely on anything other
than his own awesome natural talent to enhance his performance.
Just look at Jone's physique going into the Ruiz fight and look at him
now. As one famous bodybuilder once said. "People use steroids
because they work." BTW Jones even admitted years back through
his attorney that he used roids. This diminishes his legacy IMO even
though I loved watching his fights. His speed which was natural
    was incredible.

The best super middle weights ever :

    1: Roy Jones

    2: Calzaghe
Calzaghe would never get owned in the way Jones did ?Lets remember this was at Lt Heavy ??When he fights north of 168 lets revisit this ..Jones was owned after 15 yrs ! 15 and lets not forget where he got owned ! Not at where he started at !And I don't ever recall Jones admitting to juicing

And as far as his legacy well its only now that Calzaghe started to create one ..Jones already cemented it long before Joe grew a set !

Like another poster said he is certainly the best ever in terms of resume and by his sheer longetivity at the top

but in terms to head to head id put him at 2nd...after Jones

I believe he beats Toney at 168 contrary to many American opinions

The only guy I would ever pick over Calzaghe in their primes at 168 is RJJ.

After Calzaghe's performance last night I have to give him at least a chance of beating a prime RJJ at super middleweight.

When did Calzaghe peak though? He was freshest against Eubank (but lacked the experience), and most experienced (but past his physical prime) against Kessler. His career was a real waste between 2000 - 2005 as he only fought a few really decent fighters (Sheika, Woodhall, Brewer, Mitchell) and these were probably his physical prime years.

He's the greates ever!!! Nothing left for him to do but wander the earth with fine bitches dropping rose pedals in front of him. He's my hero. How will boxing survive without Joe? When he retires at least we'll still have Bhop when he goes boxing is finished. This begs the question Can anyone beat Joe? Hell no. because anything anyone else does Joe does twice as good.

Prime RJJ is the one fighter with the skill, speed and power to break Calzaghe's heart at super middleweight; possibly with a rib shattering bodyshot ala the Virgil Hill KO.

But, if Calzaghe avoids getting KO'ed, and pushes Jones in to the trenches in the later rounds...................one cannot totally dismiss the idea that Calzaghe would wear Jones down against the ropes and eventually stop him.

    Glen Johnson TKO9 Roy Jones

I understand that RJJ was shot by that point, but you cannot deny that a prime Calzaghe has at least a CHANCE of getting to a prime RJJ and stopping him late :deal

    I give it 70:30 in RJJ's favour

When Jones was fighting at 168 he was in his absolute prime aged between 25 and 28.

As much as i like Joe i don't think he would have stood a chance against RJJ from that era.
