Ward UD over Joe. Ward is everything wrong for Joe.

It sort of depends which Joe shows up, he did show up sloppy sometimes, ie Reid. A more focused Calzaghe maybe, I think he got a bit smarter with age but then again not the same athlete he was as a younger man

It would probably be a really close fight, I'm interested to see how Ward's career unravells he hasn't convinced me 100% yet. Still he's already better than anyone Joe's faced and vice versa

ward fights mostly on the inside, which calzaghe was great at. the style that joe has is the worst style match up that you could imagine. great inside fighter, southpaw, good power, many angles to his shots.

ward would be a perfect match up for joe as he would play right into joes hands. calzaghe would strip him down hard. ward wouldn't even begin to come close to winning a round. he'd be bust up, dropped, and knocked the **** out.

this wouldn't be anywhere near close.

so you saying that ward is everything wrong for joe, just goes to show how very little you know about calzaghe. i can't think of a fighter that is a worse style match up than joe. roy jones jr would use his speed from the outside and would have everything his own way eventually knocking out the outclassed ward, but still, he wouldn't come close to the nightmare style that joe would have.

Zages is not great at fighting inside, thats a strength of Ward. Ward eats southpaws for breakfast.

excuse me, what did you say? calzaghe wasn't great at fighting on the inside? :patsch

thank you. you have now shown me that you are completely clueless about joe as a fighter. i already knew this, but it's right here in print now.

you're so many levels of stupid. it's sad. go away you troll.

I don't have a problem with anything he said. He was asked his opinion and he gave it without being cocky or crude. Any great champion would have said the same thing had the roles been reversed.

  11. Don't mind BerolPee assasin, he is a troll. He claims he is a medical student (yet never provided any proof when Anglosaxon pwned him) but all he does day in day out is slag Calzaghe. He's a ****ing freak basically.:rofl

Personally, I would pick Calzaghe over Ward at this stage, for the reason Joe stated Calzaghe was a multi-faceted fighter, I think he's quite under-rated by many.

What I will say is that I thought that Calzaghe came across very well in that interview. Confident, yet humble; comes across as a real gent...doesn't sound like he's ever taken a punch in his life, which is always good to see.

Very Intelligent guy, humble yet confident CALZAGE.....I like Ward a lot and IMO he is one of the best at 168 yet I think Calzage would beat him at this point in time, Joe adapted very well...I expect to see a lot of good things out of Ward in the future but at 175 and it will be a little tougher possibly but I see him dominating that division and his last fight vs Dawson was the most impressive of all
