15 years, and in that time he has racked up a stunning total of 2 very good wins. Woo-hoo, party on dudes.

I'd say he had 3 good fights including Eubank

But failed to lose to the above average/mediocre competion and that's something people won't recognize. No Buster Douglas situation. No Junior Jones. No Oliver McCall or Hasim Rahman. No Antonio Tarver or Glen Johnson. No Clinton Mitchell. No Zaheer Raheem. Almost all the big stars lost one or more in their career when they supposed to win... Calzaghe failed to take one single less skilled but hungry boxer or puncher lightly...

    I mean you can't say it's nothing...

Eubank had fought two exhibition bouts against journeymen in Asia in the 2 years prior to the Calzaghe fight. And that's it. He was practically in semi-retirement. That negates the quality of the opponent.

It's not very much to celebrate though, is it? Really?

Yes but Joe had fought no one of note at that point

Green Joe + Old Eubank = Good win

Congratulations Joe Calzaghe. I'm sure he'll get such a heart warming response from the ESB faithful.

Well, not if you don't celebrate Marciano's or Lopez' undefeated career...
