Just read an article and watched a video where Calzaghe says, "You never know, to be honest it's probably one more fight. They are the famous last words of many fighters, we'll have to wait and see".

I remember Enzo Calzaghe saying a few years back his son will only hang his gloves up when he knows another fighter has the measure of him.

3 options are being touted - RJJ, Pavlik + winner of Dawson/Tarver. I know it seems unlikely now but I can see him fighting all of them RJJ first, then Tarver, then Pavlik.

Like I said it seems unlikely now but he seems to be opening up to the possibility. I see him taking RJJ and then maybe coming unstuck if he carries on - but I hope he does fight and beat all three to put the icing on the cake of a great career.

It would be nice for him to take it to fifty fights undefeated.

Depends who he fights. If he fights Tarver and RJJ he has nothing to worry about, because they are old and past their best too. Pavlik is just made for Joe, so I wouldn't expect that to be a problem

However, against a young guy like Dawson the longer he leaves it the more chance of the "L"

I wouldn't like him to face Dawson, but I could see tarver beating Dawson and taking him out of the picture.

I dont want RJJ to be his last fight, and i dont think it will be.

Calzaghe is the man to beat right now and big money fights are coming out of the woodwork, everybody wants a crack at Joe now!

After his pay day with Jones, he should fight Pavlik or the winner of Dawson/Tarver - The light heavyweight match is more likely, as I doubt Pavliks mnagers will throw the young gun in with Joe, wouldnt be surprised if they think he is not worth the risk!

Calzaghe will retire undefeated because there is no fighter out there right now MW-LHW who could beat him. Fact. I think once he gets to 48-0 he will just say "what the hell" and go for that 50-0. Of course he wont risk it so he will probably fight a couple of bums to get there.

Simply put Roy can not beat Tarver anymore at this stage of his career. He has less than a 5% chance of getting by Antonio.

And Calzaghe has less than 5% chance of "kicking Dawson's ass".

His best bet is another close SD win, which hardly qualifies as an ass kicking.
