calzaghe 6 pounds over the weight with 24 hours to go?

Sounds like horse **** to me.

Even if he was very lax he wouldn't be 6lbs over the 175lb limit. This was a guy that made 168 for years.

 

it was apparently on the build up show (forgot about it) and bunce said he was 6 pounds overweight - but he will burn that off rather easily i think.

 

No offence, but this is Buncey is this supposed 'source' for this. I don't think that Joe would be telling Buncey about him weight problems so soon to the weigh in. I doubt there is a problem and even if there was Team Calzaghe wouldn't be shouting it from the roof tops.

I think Calzaghe could be trying to get a mental edge over Jones (sort of like Haye before the Macca fight). Complain about struggling with the weight and then step on the scales and comfortably make weight.

However it's enough ammunition for the haters on the general. 'Joe wasn't/isn't taking this fight seriously-Jones will make him pay.' Utter shite.
