I can make up a thread saying RJJ said Whops are ignorant...does that mean he said it?? I'll believe this ONLY when I see it in a major USA Newspaper, and or on fightnews, or ESB home pages:bart
Well, I've already read the quotes on another prominent boxing website. So I know for a fact that he said this.
Thats bull****. He wasn't confused at all. Lewis considers himself British, was born in Britain, took the British flag into the ring with him - that is good enough for me.
******ed much? I knew this thread was going to BULL**** when it started :-( It has nothing to do with boxing, just an international pissing contest. Needs to die.
1. JC gets his respect. Abraham should have lost by TKO against Miranda the first time but he gets his respect for coming to America and KO Miranda and wanting Pavlik. Sturm never seems like he wants to fight anyone. Hatton already got spanked by PBF and looked horrible against Lazacano. 2. Whether we do or don't have anymore Mayweathers or RJJ. Those fighters are special and don't come every generation; if they did, then PBF and RJJ wouldn't be special. Overall we still have more talent. 3. Ok so HW have a bunch of bums whether they are American or Euro> whether the HW division is predominately Euro those fighters are not up to par with the predecessors of that division period.
He's just talking smack, why lose respect for him?, he's just gaining attention to make sure you buy the PPV which is a very good PPV. Hopkins did the same before his fight with Calzaghe, such tactics should be expected. Also, I really can't blame him for saying that since in America no one really gave him any credit for his skills nor any attention till recently, he has the right to fire back.
There are over 300 million people here spread out over a land mass as big as Europe. We are a collection of a wide variety of races, nationalities and religions. Our level of wealth, education, and political ideolgies vary across the board. It's almost impossible to define us collectively, we are too different. The only word I can use to describe Americans as a whole is diverse.
