thank you! my god...ive seen too many of these sort of threads already that blow up into pointless arguments...:patsch :nono

i too feel that he's going into this fight a bit nervous and not as confident...i also think he wants a rematch for the scenario that he feels he may be robbed out of a decision...

so if he wins the rematch he will have avenged his only loss and still retire "a legend".

his no rematch policy only applies to Hopkins. I don't think he'll amend it any time soon. I believe that in Calzaghe's eyes Hopkins is undeserving of a rematch because of the way he fought and the way he acted following his loss. Also, because Calzaghe beat Hopkins on Hopkins' turf.

This was only negotiated so they could both have 1 fight in the US and 1 in the UK.
He is as confident as ever, Hell, he has been saying he will fight Roy 1 week early,
You will witness total domination from Calzaghe.

The hatred for JC on this forum is crazy.
BIGREG-In regards to his no rematch policy,it doesn't take a genius to work out that he wont rematch if he has won the original bout.
Why is everyone clamouring to see JC/BHOP again anyways....there first fight reeked.....
    Anyway,prediction time
4/1 for a Calzaghe ko-tko is a very solid bet and i aint hesitating to put 3 figues on it.
    Jones is shot folks

I did read an interview that cazaghe did, only a few days ago, and he says that he would retire win or LOSE, so, im not a calzaghe hater, infact, i did have alot of respect for him but since the hopkins fight, hes just filled interview after interview of bull****, and this rematch talk is another example.

    Quite right.
A great part of his game is built upon taking advantage of openings left by others when they press. But Hopkins himself refuses to attack when he senses he's in danger of being countered, and prefers to stink the joint.

He then rages about the decision.
I did feel though Calzaghe didn't do enough against Hopkins, but i don't blame him for refusing the rematch.

Jesus you're a dick, wah wah wah Calzaghe wah wah wah rematch wah wah wah :| :| :|

Why would Calzaghe want to go through another ugly 12 rounds of wrestling and dirty tactics with Hopkins? He fought Hopkins to entice RJJ into a fight, he won, it succeeded, end of story. Hopkins wants a rematch so he can do the same thing for 12 rounds and hope this time the judges score it as a win for him. His and Calzaghe's styles cannot produce anything other than what we've all already seen, yet you are constantly harping on about how Calzaghe won't give Hopkins a rematch :-(

Now he's got a huge $ fight with RJJ, and a possibility of another huge $ fight in a rematch if he should lose to him.

What have you got? Tears in your eyes and a sense of injustice?

You however were the first to mention race or nationality in this thread - page 2, post #28 - don't try to claim otherwise.
