Article on "Max" says Calzaghe and Woods have verbally agreed (If both should win) to a LHW clash. The article was from the 9th but I haven't seen anything about it on here.

Said all along that this was the plan should Woods pull through.

JC will retire after Woods. The only other fight MIGHT be Pavlik.

He will not fight Dawson and why the **** should he. He won't get any credit for that win at all judging by the 'Lacy Amnesia' epidemic that has occured since March 2006.

Even the Kessler one gets downplayed.

Logical fight and Ill be pleased if it does happen.

    Really on what basis?

Thus far the best name on Dawsons record is the limited Adamek.

Even if he beats Johnson hes old and really is enterting the trial horse stage.

Look I know theres more to assessing the worth of a win than that but that is precisely what the revisionists and haters would say should Calzaghe fight and beat Dawson.

It would be a win that would have to appreciate over time before he got any credit - that is Dawson would have to recover from the loss and make some noise in the future.

Prior to the fight only a token few expressed any doubts about Lacy's talent. He was supposed to beat Joe, take on Taylor then move up to fight Tarver.

Needless to say that plan went to ****.

Umm... for starters Dawson can actually box, Lacy can't. Anything else?

Though I wouldn't mind seeing JC/Woods I hope it doesn't come off. Joe needs legacy fights only at this stage in his career and like it or not that means transatlantic instead of domestic dustups. Woods is a solid LHW and he should beat Tarver to raise his stock but Dawson is the up coming star. What should happen is that Dawson fights Woods and the winner fights Calzaghe after he's fought Pavlick.

Dawson is unproven, who has he beat? Until he beats someone he shouldnt even be on the Calzaghe-radar!

Hence why he should fight Woods and the winner will have down enough to warrant a fight with Calzaghe and will enhance his legacy when he beats them. Woods at the moment does nothing for JC's resume.

I agree Calzaghe V Pavlik, Woods V Dawson, winners face each other. (assuming Calzaghe beats Pav)
