Mormeck's slightly smaller, with comparable reach and less speed. If he gets hold of a belt again, I don't see why Calzaghe couldn't decision him.

From what I understand, he holds his own when sparring with Enzo, too. That said, there's no way in hell that that fight would ever happen.

    I think he definatly could.

Joe's speed would ring rings around most cruiserweights, and he has the chin to take shots that hard.

His speed and skills would not be enough at such a weight. He does not punch hard enough to deter the bigger guys and they would simply walk through him. He does not have the frame of a light heavy let alone a cruiser, it would simply be a step too far.
Did you see the Haye v Mormeck fight? That's just one example of the kind of thing he would be up against.

Nah. Joe relies on his hand speed and I think at 190-200lbs his hands will be ALOT slower then they are now. Not to mention I don't think he would hold the weight to good at all.

Yes not the best but like Snorkel said i think he'd stand a good chance against someone like Mormeck.

He wouldn't need to bulk up at all though. Unlike RJJ who had to weigh in at 190+ for the Ruiz fight, Joe would simply have to come in anywhere from 176-200. In other words, he'd go through his usual training routine but not cut any weight before the weigh in. If anything, I think it'd be an advantage when compared to having to make 168.

I can't see him beating the guys that are basically junior heavies, but against the guys that are big 175s I'd say he has a good chance.

Too risky. A really solid, big cruiser would just throw bombs at this guy all day without any fear. They might be losing rounds but a KO would be possible at any time. Take Darnell Wilson, a vastly inferior boxer. He could throw haymakers the whole time, and with one or two connects it is lights out even if he is losing rounds.

Holding your own with Enzo does not make you a top cruiserweight

True enough, the man in my avatar would give him a royal hiding. However, being competitive when faced with such huge physical disadvantages suggests to me that smaller cruisers could certainly be beaten; there's nobody at his level in that division on a skills or P4P level, especially now that Haye's moving up.

I just would not see the point. And against very physical and agressive fighter he would be in trouble in a fight that prooves nothing.
