Roy was on a winning streak. He'd just beaten the legendary Felix Trinidad in his prior fight

    :happy

Went from beating him to losing to bums like Danny Green in 1 round after class was in with Calzaghe.

1... Roy jones was shot by the time he faced Slappy Everyone was kicking his ass

2.... There is no way in hell Slappy Calzaghe EVER beat Bernard Hopkins only on 2 biased judges cards. How can a man who cannot throw a legitimate scoring punch wina fight???????

Calzaghe was a wannabee at best

I watched the whole tape, first time I've seen the garbage. What utter trash & lies that jerk came out with. He took the Hopkins fight because he thought Hopkins at 43 was shot WRONG!!!!!!!!!
Calzaghe also claimed moving up in weight would give him more power ROFLMAO What power ?? The idiot cannot throw a legitimate scoring punch. There is no way in hell Calzaghe LEGITIMATELY!! beat Hopkins.
The statement about Jones jr proves what Calzaghe is a bald faced liar!!! He ridicules a proposed fight then signs for it .
If he was half as good as his inflated head thinks he is he would have accep[ted Hopkins offer for a rematch in Wales in front of his faithful fans. What a way to end his career in front of a home crowd & putting to rest any controversy over the Hopkins fight BUT Joe decided to shoot his fans the finger & cowardly retire. That in itself proves he knew he got a gift against Hopkins. He retired to an apparent life of drink & debauchery if you can believe the press reports
Calzaghe is just a wannabee nothing more

Except Mosley was the p4p number 2 boxer at that time and had one of the best wins of his career. Actually, never mind. Just a troll post. :[

you mean its like Froch going to America to beat James Toney and Hopkins such.

choose like for like or don't bother.

on the subject of bothering, Froch wouldn't even bother doing a Calzaghe let alone thinking about fighting Toney/Jones when they were old. Hopkins would still be a good fight for 6 rounds too but Froch is not going to cherrypick oldies when he can have primes like Ward.

stop comparing Froch to Calzaghe, Froch doesn't do Calzaghe cherrypicking or runs of 10 crap opponents when hes defending, its just not his style.

you have ABSOLUTELY NO FREAKING IDEA what brittle bone disease is, stop posting **** in posts. UTTER DRIVEL. Lobstein syndrome suffers can barely manage to get into contact sports. You must have no idea what Osteogenesis Imperfecta is, literally not a clue and I mean that without any exaggeration.

calzaghe cherrypicked oldies, if you want to keep denying it then find but the ages don't lie, he fought those guys when they were on the slide or finished, and when he'd just had his best ever run (ie he was at least near his peak).

Actually the ghost of Roy still rocked JC early on.

Calzaghe was solid, give him that, but this thread is a bit of a **** take.
