Calzaghe beat kessler first and showed ward the blueprint

Sour grapes? Ward beat him because he was the better fighter on the night. Ward showed some real talent and good luck too him in the future.

 

Calzaghe did lay the blueprint for defeating Kessler - but Andre Ward made it his own with his elusive switch hitting style which is something that Calzaghe never utilized. Joe is a great fighter and deserves all the praise for his victory over Kessler in 2007 - but he is retired.
