No doubt. But when they fought boy did Mike look old :yikes Shallow victory definitly and Jones could have finished him off but he had way more respect for him than Joe did for Jones.

Thats aboslute rubbish. I was a stern stern critic of LL and his aloof title reign but **** me Joe didnt even establish himself as the best in Europe let alone the best ever European fighter of all time. Joe won the Lonsdale and went straight for the convinient WBO which NO ONE at the time other than SN paid any attention to. The belt wasnt even a decade old. LL on the other hand won all domestic honours and went onto to be a REAL world champ.

What you`ve just stated is nothing more tyhan shallow cheer leading nonsense. LL admiteddly reigned in a division that was weak and didnt beat Holy and Tyson until they were past there best. BUT his ledger is littered with quality additional names like Tua Morrison Ruddock Grant Golota all of whom he destroyed. Its not even comparable.

    Lennox KO2 Grant = Calzaghe W12 Lacy.
    Lennox W12 Mavrovic = Calzaghe W12 Kessler
    Lennox W12 Holyfield>Calzaghe W12 Eubank
Lennox KO8 Tyson>Calzaghe W12 Hopkins (whixh I thought he lost)
Lennox KO6 Vitali Klitshko> greater then anything Calzaghe ever managed

I've not even started and its over..... :)

And way more effectively than Joe ever did it. I mean does anyone not remember the Tocker Pudwill, Miguel Jiminez fights? Kevin Mcyntre, Saleem etc? I sat through all of that as FAN of boxing. I watched one bout after the other fall through. I watched Don Kings middleweight tourney won by Hopkins take place. The offer was extended to Joe. He said no. I saw 2 bouts with Glen Johnson fall through. I saw his bout at 175 with David Telesco fall through because Joe pulled out. I saw Thomas Tate retire because he was so dam old and Warren gave us Pudwill instead to save the show! He lied and said he couldnt make 68 and when faced with a semi decent contender at 75 pulled out?! I watched mooted bouts with Joppy an unbeaten Eastman Harry Simon all turn to dust because Joe reneged on verbal agreements. Even Warren can attest to this. And now these cheer leading gimps want to give the guy kudos because there memory only stretches back as far as last week much less for the Lacy bout?! Joe has been opportune at its absolute finest. Seriously you muppets shouldnt even call yourself fans. There a disgrace to the sport.

Can't agree with you on Tyson vs Hopkins, but spot on otherwise.

Close one Hopkins is a great fighter but the manner of Lewis' victory over Tyson gives LL the edge over JC's undeserved decision for me.

Id probably compare LL Tyson to Jones Calzaghe. As LL could at least finish his food. All Joe could do was strut around like a peacock and toy with a punching bag.

    Nah......

Tyson was shot to bits and shouldn't have been allowed within a mile of a boxing ring, never mind in it with Lennox!

Hopkins, whilst past his physical prime, was a stiff proposition, new weight, fighting ABROAD (we know Joe was forced here!).

The manner of Lewis victory was about as conclusive as it gets, I would agree, however. I think I had Joe just edging it, or level - I would watch it again but it was painfully boring.

Very true about Tyson. But the money talks and the bull**** runs the marathon. Hence why Joe fought B Hop and Jones. All they had left bar Hopkins was there name.

You have me intrigued here with the win vs win debate......

Would you rank them in order, or in terms of what they were seen at the time - i.e. unbeatable American, wily veteran, young pup etc?
