But Calzaghe's problem is still that he has got next to nothing Hopkins wants... Hopkins can make the same or more money fighting Trinidad/Jones and he has already got his spot in the HoF... Calzaghe/Warren has got to come up with a very very good offer for Hopkins to come to the UK or take the paycut and go to the US... after all if Calzaghe is more than just words (with all he legacy talk), then he take the paycut and become a legend ... it's not like he is going to retire a poor man...

 

Calzaghe has the picks of lots of has beens and never was guys so why should he jump to fight Hopkins who will not enhance his reputation at all.

 

The problem is that at this point in his career Calzaghe is looking for the big money fights, not the fight that will land him the big money fights. He should have been where he is now in his career 3 or 4 years ago.

 

Calzaghe should KO Clinton Woods as soon as possible then call out Kelly Pavlik, assuming Pavlik can get by Taylor.

 

It sounds to me money is more important than his resume, If I was Calzaghe and I knew my ATG status was on the line I would take the pay cut.

Im not saying its a fair price, but if he wants that name on his resume he should fight Hopkins. He has a chance now to do it, but the money isnt right for him, so just shut up about Hopkins ducking him and fight woods then.

 

If Calzaghe doesn't want to fight Hopkins, Clinton Woods, Tarver, etc., yet he SUPPOSEDLY wants to impress the american crowd because "that's where the money is", then who is he going to fight haha? All that's left is Roy Jones (after he beats up Trinidad).
