Calzaghe does mix up his words a hell of a lot. Bigging up a fighter one day, slating him the next. But the fact remains, he's an awesome fighter who has been continually written off but time and time again he proves us wrong. Joe beats RJJ, Pavlik beats Hopkins (just, coz hopkins can still mess with ur head) and then hopefully we can put all this bull**** to one side and actually see who is better.

 

Cleary I would fit in just fine.

Very funny but typical response by one eyed US boxing fans on comments that are basically true if you have an objective mind and are not clouded by nationalistic bull****!

Most impartial observers, including those who have loved and will always enjoy US boxing (that inlcudes me) would agree that the state of boxing in the states isn't as good as previous era's, particularly with the increase in the amount of better fighters coming from Eastern Europe.
You just have to look at the SMW, MW and Heavyweight divisions to see this.

Pavlik whilst being a very good fighter isn't the finished article by any means in my opinion, had some good wins against average MW opponents and thats about it.
The reaction to some of these comments is laughable, he gave an honest opinion ...so what, and yeah he may have told a few blatant untruths..so ****ing what, these people are boxers they are not running the country for gods sake ...who would have thought ... a boxer talking ****....lol
Listen to some of the **** that ladyboy BHOP comes out with FFS and try and tell me he's not worse,very disrespectful about european fighters but most ignore that as he's an American!
