Calzaghe Fan Consensus

Are the threads the product of the extreme Calzaghe nutthugging or is the Calzaghe nutthugging a product of these threads? That is the question. Most likely they inspire each other.

And in your description of blunt, short and dismissive you need to include star craving mad.

 

did it ever ONCE occur to you that maybe people just dont like his slappy style?? that his fans grossly overrate him beyond epic proportions despite having a razor thin resume? does everything revolve around race for you? sheesh, even in 2010 people are still talking about this ****:-(

Why is it Calzaghe fans are the first ones to talk about the color of someones skin and nationality, as if it has anything to do with what Calzaghe accomplished as a boxer.:-patsch

 

i think that looking at myself, i liked calzaghe before i found out how grossly overrated he is, ESPECIALLY by a lot of white people. the example is that everyone degrades hopkins resume saying that he fought a bunch of smaller people and nobodies. he fought glenn johnson when he was undefeated and dominated him. but glenn johnson was "just a journeyman". well calzaghe essentially fought a bunch of nobodies for his whole career, why is he a P4P champion? i understand that white people like white fighters just like black people like black fighters, but because there are more white fans than any other fans, it seemed like calzaghe was getting where he was because he was good and if you are good white people will say you're great. if pay attention, some people think wes welker is the best receiver on the patriots team, like randy moss isn't there. or paul gassol is the catalyst of the lakers. if they were black and did the same thing, they'd just be good. same with calzaghe. but since he's white he's great, not good. that's what it seems like to me, but i could be wrong and if proven so, i will admit it. the dude's on crack and all he gets is a couple of articles written about him. what if he was black? i liked calzaghe before i found out how delusional he and his fans are. then the fact that he took a gift win over hopkins and bitched out of a rematch didn't help respect him much either. but if you don't believe there is a media biased towards him i understand. but watch what hopkins does in round 3 and how the commentators react, and then watch when calzaghe lands a punch on hopkins arm and listen to the commentators. some one should post a thread just to see if any calzaghe fans would admit it was biased telecasting.

 

Cokeslappy threads should be banned from general boxing discussion. Joe is retired and very few people care enough about him to support a dialogue. The trolls posting 20 threads a week should be ejected to the classic forum where they will be ignored.

 

Your going to grow old and grey waiting for this recognition. Even Marciano's undefeated record is knocked 50 years after his retirement. Marciano's competition was so far ahead of what Joe faced that it is literaly insulting to Rocky to mention him in a Calzaghe thread.

 

For the most part they are very knowledgeable in the art of lifting Calzaghe.
Which often leaves them for the most part inept, Causing people to view them as both incompetent & annoying.

Calzaghe fans are just like Pac fans, Pavlik Fans or even just fans of boxing in general. You get some ****ing idiots and some very reasonable, knowledgeable guys. Just a shame we all get sterotyped as a single fighters fans rather than as boxing fans.

I know there are reasonable Calzaghe fans, I am sure you are one of them, I didn't mean to include you, but I do hear more of that **** out of Calzaghe fans, about how great Calzaghe would be considered if he was black.
