calzaghe is already getting credit. a few bitters sat behind a keyboard wont change a thing. look at the boxing writers, see what they're saying about him within the sport, that matters more. he's never gonna win some over, i've realised this now and don't give a **** .
What ?!?! Competitive ?!?!? KOed in the Second by Tarver , beaten along the ropes then KOed in the 8 by Johnson .. I know the hatton Ko was a hard pill to swallow but come on ,, Roy was told to KO after Johnson. This is Roy getting beat up and KOed by Johnson -->[YT]7mXtktG56hg&feature[/YT]
You are indeed the man. I've been saying the same thing for months, but this is an excellent analogy.
I am guessing that you're American? It never ceases to amaze me the number of them who think Calzaghe's career started in 2006! I take it Eubank, Reid, Woodhall, Sheika, Starie, Brewer, Mitchell, Bika dont class as good fighters despite all being ranked in the top ten in the world at one point and most of them being world champions!
You guess wrong. And actually I have written an extensive analysis of Calzaghe's entire world championship career from Eubank onwards on this very forum, so wrong again.
Ok, If Lennox Lewis came back and fought Wlad. Some would pick Lewis to win. But if wlad beat him does he deserve full credit for having a semi-retired, long inactive Lennox Lewis on his resume???? HOW DOES ONE HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE OTHER!!!?? atsch atsch atsch I'm sure there were SOME who thought Tyson would beat Lewis, but what we saw that night was a far faded Tyson and Lewis does not deserve the same credit as Holyfield because Tyson wasn't close to what he was when Holy beat him. Many thought Holy would beat Toney.....but we saw in the ring that Holy was not the same as he was when he fought Riddick Bowe, now does Toney deserve the same credit as Bowe?????? Alot of people picked Tyson to KILL Danny Williams, but Williams ended up beating the disgustingly past his prime Tyson....so I guess since people picked Tyson to win, Williams deserves all the credit in the world right? atsch Do you want me to go on about this...or is it starting to sink in?
So Calzaghe just beat a guy that only MORONS could think had a chance at victory? :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Hail Calzaghe....THE SECOND COMING!!!! :happy :happy :happy :happy
Joe is a very good fighter Bro. He deservs respect and accolades for defeating both Bhop and Jones back to back. We (Fans) asked Joe to step up for Years and he finally has this late in his career when Joe is at his VERY Best overall. Of course we have to keep the two MAJOR wins in perspective b/c its clear Joe didn't defeat the very best versions of the two American legends, but he's answered the calls and we should appreciate that. WE as fans know talent, skills and athleticism when we see it and Joe without question has an abundance of all 3. Joe fans or fanatics feel very strongly about Joe b/c of his local roots and his small town upbringing. Many can relate and many are very proud of him as they should be....but we often see boxing fans/fanatics over embelish the actual accomplishments and I think some of the Joe fans are guilty of this. Beating Roy, Eubank, Nard and Kessler are very good wins...but none of them GREAT! We know JOE is GREAT not based on his "WINS" but based on what we see in terms of his skills, talent and heart. Could he beat a Prime Jones, Nard or Toney.....I highly doubt it, but he'd give them one of their hardest challenges prime for prime.
Oh **** Whats up man :good What the hell you keep gett'n **** on by the mods for? I got a fight next week by the way.
he did better than i thought he would, looked better than against johnson IMO but yeah he's pretty gone now. however what you and others here refuse to acknowledge is joe looked ****ing great beating the **** out of him. i know eactly what your response will be to that as well...but he's shot !!!! :| but frankly i don't give a ****. i enjoyed the fight .sue me.
