The fact remains that kessler has been virtually an inactive fighter since the loss to calzaghe that has to have had an effect on him.

Having said that I still said all along kessler was a robotic stiff slow predictable boxer and I thought that the calzaghe fight really flattered him.

Yea he had a couple of nice moments in that fight but on the whole calzaghe pretty much cruised it imo.

Saiko Bika gave Calzaghe a harder fight than Kessler imo.

 

it seems like your obsessed with hate for calzaghe give it a rest, hes retired and propbably not coming back sorry he was undefeated, sorry the kessler that fought calzaghe wasnt the same guy that fought ward, whether he beats froch or not. The kessler that fought calzaghe was an undefeated active world champ in his prime fighting in europe, the kessler that fought ward was 2 years older far less active and had lost the cloke of invincibility being undefeated can give a fighter, and he was fighting across the world. I like ward and despite saying all that his win over kessler was still huge, and imo ward is the cream of the crop at supermiddle right now, but comparing his fight with kessler and calzaghes fight with kessler is like apples and oranges, also calzaghes style was so awkward there is no way you could evaluate how ward stands against him by comparing common opponents even if all things were considered equal for said opponent.

 

the obvious answer is racism and ethnocentrism my friend, if calzaghe were black and american he would probably be getting far less criticism
