I'm glad Joe won, but part of me felt sad watching a former Superman reduced to taking an utter pounding whilst offering very little in the way of return fire...RJJ with a cut like that was still shocking to me.

I was rooting for calzaghe all the way but fealt really bad for jones after the fight as he looked a total mess it was a great fight and had me screaming at the tv for joe to stop showboating and thought any minute roy is gonna catch him but luckly in the end it payed off. as much as i would miss watching joe fight again i think its time he rode off into the sunset

So is James Toney a garbage man then? Because Jones made a mug out of him in his prime. Both Toney and Jones would have beaten Calzaghe in their prime. Thats a fact.

What real heavyweight champion?, Jones fought everyone available to fight at light heavyweight and unified fighting champions and only champions, then came #1 ranked contenders after it.

Yeah, seeing a beggar from England desperately trying to kill time from work by posting like a 10 year old is always entertaining.

Watch him take this to the lounge and cry about why he was banned years ago.

Nope, Pavlik is moving and staying at middleweight, he has plans to fight Abraham sometime next year after he fights his mandatory Rubio.

I thought the fight was great.

I find it a bit sad that some Jones supporters have started sounding off saying that he is shot and was not a fair fight for Joe. It was by no means one sided and even though I bet heavily on Joe, I was worried about him almost the whole time. Jones landed some heavy blows. Iron jaw or not, Joe is far from impervious, as Jones proved in round one.

No person can claim to know what Jones' plan of action was, he seemed to be letting Joe dictate the rate of acceleration, if he was planning to let Joe run out of steam before he went for a killer strike, he was naive. Joe's adaptability kept him well in the frame and his stamina did the rest.

If you did not enjoy the fight, that simply means it did not meet your expectations. It's all well and good to have a theory or an idea of how a fight will go, but I always enjoy a fight more when it's unpredictable, watching a fight with an open mind means I can enjoy it, rather than being disappointed that it didn't go my way.

The fight went the way the vast the majority of the people expected, and predicted. Most are not "sounding off" in hindsight saying Jones is/was shot - and has been for half a decade.
