You're harping on about a video that you've posted in several different threads, and clinging to something Calzaghe himself said about Jones' condition.

I take what boxers say with a grain of salt, because there are often alterior motives behind it - Calzaghe may well have been saying that in an effort to get RJJ to agree to fight him.

In his book, Calzaghe also said he thought the BBC sports personality of the year award was a load of crap, but has recently admitted he only said that because he had never won it. His attitude changed when he won it in 2007.

Why do people like you try to crucify Calzaghe with his own words, yet think it's great when Floyd Mayweather speaks absolute bull**** 24/7? That really makes me wonder.

I knew Joe would mock and show boat shot Roy, and beat him easy (I'd made several posts about it). To be honest I felt a bit rough about it all - a bit like I felt when I saw shot Tyson being beat up by Lewis. I wished Roy had called it a day, but like a lot of boxers he went on too long... still he got the $ which is all that seems to matters nowadays...

My topic remains on point, Calzaghe beat a guy who is way past his best, that's what I was pointing it and mentioned even before the fight was signed during the days when it was rumored. I'm not here to discuss Calzaghe taking the fight was wrong or any of that, already said that he wanted to make some money and earned a position where he deserves to do so and the discussion is over regarding that.

About Mayweather talking trash, sorry but I never saw Mayweather claim he won't fight a certain fighter because they're shot to death and then sign to fight them. There's a major difference between talking trash in between SIGNED fights to promote a fight and talking trash only to change the tone once the fight is signed. Mayweather would be held as a murdered for doing that but since it's Calzaghe and you're obviously British it's all good.
