With Roy's style he's developed, it won't allow Joe to run up numbers and win fights on thrown punches/slaps, He brings the fight to Joe, pick off the punches, and counter, he will be getting the better of the exchanges if he can keep it up for 12 rounds, he should dominate. He's faster, with a much more sound style. He won't be like Hopkins, just backing up and letting Joe run up numbers all night. Roy wins easily if he fights inspired.

Roy still has much more hand speed than Calzaghe, and he's developed a sort of defensive shell style, to make up for his decreased foot speed. That defensive shell style might be the perfect style of defense for Joe's slap attacks, just put your gloves up and pick em off and counter. Looking at the style matchup, I think Roy has the edge. He's bigger, stronger, faster, and much more effective with his punches. and I just think this new style he's developed is the perfect style to beat Joe, he can just walk forward to Joe, pick off the slap flurries, and counter with some good shots. Left hooks to the body, rights upstairs.

Besides the obvious punches in bunches can someone tell me what area does Joe Calzaghe have the physical or mental advantage over Roy Jones Jr. Roy Jones is seeting up Joe Calzaghe the same way B Hop set up Pavlik. Calzaghe is going to be shocked.........but I will not be shocked....Calzaghe doesnt think "DEFENSE" and IMO that will be his downfall.

Jones has a Glass Jaw is scared to get hit and is also scared to let his hands go because he is afraid of getting countered and knocked out cold.

When his opponent punches back Roy goes into a shell and just lays on the ropes.

I do not see Roy winning this fight and I think a stoppage is possible for Calzaghe.

If joe wins, it will be a great win but lets not get carried away its not aginst the jones jnr who could put his hands behind is back and then deliver a knockout punch, like it showed on the 24/7 intro. I still believe Jones jnr may win.

Glass Jaw? based off what? Him getting KO'ed?

so that means that every fighter that gets KO'ed has a glass Jaw?.:patsch

its easy to throw that "glass jaw" thing around with no factual evidence. Roy Jones was 48-1 before he got caught by Tarver...so what you are telling me is that in a 20 year career he was able to not get hit in the face? and it just magically got exposed???:huh

LMAO@ when his opponent punches he lays on the ropes...do you know what a counter puncher is?

Calzaghe will NOT fight or punch for 3 minutes a round when Roy Jones Jr is beating him to the punch

Did you see how many lead right hands Joe Calzaghe got hit with against B Hop?

lol...Hopkins was a much easier fight for Joe....Joe chased a middleweight posing as a light heavyweight around the ring all night slapping him and getting countered with lead right hands all night....Joe Calzaghe didnt land 1 significant punch on B hop the entire fight.

Jones is a style nightmare for Calzaghe....he has no defense, fights with his hands down and face out. Also he throws soooooo many punches he is open to counter shots to the head and body. You guys are forgetting who is the one who beat a HW. Who is the bigger & faster fighter. Joes punch output wont mean anything.:good

i think 2 straight KTFOs in a row counts as glass jaw.
