Um... have you seen Roy Jones fight in the last like... FIVE years? He just doesn't fight like that offensively any more. Every time he throws a punch, its with the memory of being countered with that huge left from Antonio Tarver.
Yes, Joe is willing to travel NOW. But before 2008, he DIDN'T travel also. If your point is that Calzaghe is willing to travel for his last two fights before retirement, yes you have a point. Otherwise, no you don't have a point. Simple as that.
How many things did Roy "say" he would do in his career then never did it? It was all talk Roy was not going to go to Wlaes period. I guess you also believed that Roy was going to fight Corrie Sanders, the Bhop rematch, DM, it goes on and on the crap he has said he will do but never did. Talk is cheap.
The point is no matter what time it is Joe is willing to travel and Glass Jaw Roy is not and NEVER did. That is the point.
OK, I'm convinced by that HUGE argument. No man, the true point is, your obvious hate for Jones takes away all the (possible) credibility your posts about him might have.
At this stage in his career he would of had to of taken the fight in Whales if he wanted any shot of a title.
When you look at who DM has fought and where, Cal, and Roy also...none of the 3 were going back and forth overseas to fight...you know why? They made good money fighting at home. Roy has fought far better comp than Cal and DM period. That isn't to say they didn't fight good comp, well at least DM didn't lol. Roy fought better comp than those 2. Roy used to get exlaxed on because of how he dominated his comp. Even Eric Lucas won a world title, and Roy fought him on the same night he plyaed a semi pro game.
Name the bums ***, and quit dancing around the question. Ive posted my list for you a number of times... I don't want phrases, I want proof, name them or shut the **** up you *****.
Eubank only fought Calzaghe when he came in as a very late replacement, cooked and completely out of shape.Of course JC took him on, he was a good name on his CV with very little risk attached, just how Joe likes it.
