These are just excuses from Roy after he was knocked out cold. Hell before he fought the rematch with Tarver he told Max Kellerman he would knock out Vitali Klitschko :rofl :patsch (WBC & Ring Magazine Heavyweight Champion at the time)

Fine, but what makes you think he's any more focused now? He's older, and if anything, I imagine he's become even more cautious.

Hell, he was even fighting a tad timidly against Trinidad for a few rounds, and Tito had absolutely NO BUSINESS being in the same ring as Jones Junior.

I'd almost like to see Roy win, but I'd be shocked if it happens.

Unless Roy KO's Calzaghe early, Calzaghe is going to make adjustments and beat Roy mentally.

    Bank on it!

    Roy is mentally WEAK.

SO he had a glass jaw and made it to 48-1 and didnt lose till he was 35 and the Pound 4 Pound best fighter in the world.

John Ruiz hit Roy Jones Jr with harder shots that Johnson and Tarver and this sooo called Glass Jaw didnt break..u guys are fooled.

This isnt hollywood where u can lose 30 lbs do a movie role and pull it off....the body must be in supreme physical shape and his body wasnt.

    John Ruiz? :rofl :patsch

Ruiz was just ANOTHER in a long line of HANDPICKED bums by Roy.

Ruiz had not had a KO in over 3 years leading up to the Jones fight and that is why Roy handpicked him. Glass Jaw Roy would not even fight Chris Byrd at Heavyweight because unlike Ruiz he actually had some skill.

anyone who brings up ruiz as some kind of badge of courage instead of just another sick ego showcase for RJJ is immediately discredited in my book...aqnd if he thinks the ruiz punches were harder than the tarver punch he got in the jaw he is ON CRACK:good

Jones has never beat a linear, unified or undisputed champion in his career. Calzaghe has.

    Jones resume is basically:

    Hopkins (Calzaghe also beat him)
    Toney

and John Ruiz. Anytime Ruiz is listed as a big win your resume is complete garbage.

Ruiz is a big win b/c you dont see too many middleweights move all the way up to heavyweight and win a title. No one is saying he beat Ali, but moving all the way up to HW and fighting anyone is a pretty big accomplishment.

yup...he would never move up...move down...call out a real champ...look at his PPV's and hbo fights...clinton woods, reggie johnson, david telesco, richard hall, then he gets courageous and fights JOHN ****ING RUIZ...that is just a bull**** move...then to cap it off the ref is in the bag and allows NO in fighting
