Comon Roy at this stage is not good enough to beat top fighters anymore.
A fighter like Hanshaw had never been in the ring with someone like Roy but still manage to make it a tough fight for Roy, how on earth do you think Roy will be any harder for Calzaghe?

 

Why should calzaghe have to travel when he is p4p?

Markus, go home and watch Roy Jones's last 6 fights (Tarver II, Johnson, Tarver III, Prince Nobody, Hanshaw, Trinidad).

Then watch any of his pre-Ruiz fights.

Then watch any of Hopkins's recent fights: Pavlik, Calzaghe, Wright, Tarver.


Are you seriously telling me that Jones isn't shot now, that he is even a shadow of the fighter he was?

Are you seriously telling me that anyone thought Hopkins was shot before the Calzaghe fight, or is shot now?

You really need to do your homework. DM refused to come to the USA and why should Jones who had all the titles and the drawing power and the TV contract and the p4p number 1 rating go out of the country when the last time he did that they stole his gold medal. All DM did was chicken out of that fight and struggle with Jones left overs and even lost to Gonzalez who Jones beat 12-0 with 2 KDs. Steve Collins another guy who had no intrest in leaving the UK. McClellan was permentaly injured in 1995 so there wasnt exactly awhole lot of time to make that fight. Benn didnt fight Jones cause he was to busy losing to guys like Malinga who Jones was trashing. Maske retired as a Light Heavyweight just as Jones moved up to Light Heavyweight and what did Jones do ? He KOed the guy who beat Maske in Hill.

So does Calzaghe, By far.

 

His resume beats Calzaghe's any day of the week. Anyone saying otherwise is a biased little fanboy. Whether you are a Jones, fan, a Calzaghe fan, or a neutral, Jones's resume IS better, simple as that.
