i would say between 6-8 thousand the economy will have an effect and thats why i think less will go over then did the hopkins fight although the appeal of MSG and NYC should even it up
I can't see that many going out there, it's only Calzaghe and tickets will be hard to come by for MSG which doesn't hold all that many.
I think about 5,000 tops and only about 3 to 3,500 with tickets. Although they will certainly make a fair bit of noise. I really want to go to MSG and when i found out this fight would be there i did consider going, but im sure in years to come there will be a british fighter over there once more so hopefully i can go to that one.
yer i was probabily to high on that estimation around 3-4 thousand would be more accurate and you're right its nowhere near being sold out
As Hatton fights in 2 weeks, approaching xmas, the whole credit crunch and all that, its probably took quite a few people away from going. Still will be awesome, would love to go to MSG for a fight, hopefully will do in the future.
I heard between 2/3 thousand at best are going. Obviously we will get the over-inflated figure sometime soon.
The MSG holds just over 21,000 IIRC, some one was saying the other day that less than 10,000 tickets had been sold.
That maybe just putting a brave face on it. How many people are going to pay $300 for a ticket on impulse? They might end up giving out freebies just to fill the arena.
You can see why they drafted in Zab Judah (New York fighter) onto the bill at the last moment. That seems a bit of a panic move by MSG.
