Towards the end of Calzaghe's career there were calls for him to fight a then young and hungry Froch, rightfully Calzaghe turned the calls down and had his big payday fights in the states and deservedly so. I can see the rolls reversed on Froch because I have little doubt Degale will win a world title and there are already calls for a big domestic fight between them both but I think Froch should stay clear of a dangerous Degale and have his big paydays in the states. It wont be long before people accuse Froch of ducking but I think it will be unjust. He has nothing to prove to anybody.
Froch fought Groves though, and he only did it because he wanted to give that young fighter a chance that he never got. So I dont think its fair to compare him to Calzaghe
