?? Calzaghe was well past it also. KDs happen. It doesnt mean it would happen every time any 2 fighters fight. Look at how Froch is faded and Groves put him down, but it didnt happen in a rematch, same as Hopkins when he fought Pascal and Mercado. Calzaghe was not having to hold on to survive, not on wobbly legs, got up and threw punches. Calzaghe was way past it, in a new division and dominated for the next 11 rounds
Wow Bailey has given that irrelevant no-mark Berol Pee an absolute mauling in this thread :yep:vonnecuntwned Don't expect to see Berol posting on ESB again under that identity, his position is officially untenable :deal What was twig wrists Berol even thinking of trying to hang on a Team Elite Superthread amongst the most respected analytical experts in the boxing fraternity? :huh:think:gsg
Thank you Alien :deal Sometimes you need experts in the boxing fraternity to incisively cut through the narrow minded fanboy delusion that plagues these boards with blinkered opinion and deliver a mouth-watering dose of irrefutable scientific fact for the ham n eggers to swallow whole :kenny My Comrade 46and0 summed it up perfectly, when a Team Elite General speaks the world stops what they are doing, pours themselves an ice cold Dandelion & Burdock, opens a delicious bag of frazzles and listens intently to the wonderfully crafted gem of a post that is being delivered in crystal clear HD before a global audience of millions :grouphug:boxer:ldevil Team Elite are here to educate and we are needed more today then ever before, so all you fart sauce swilling twig wristed nincampoops get ready to be annihilated in debate :cus:vonnecuntwned
Jones lost to a shot version of Calzaghe which people fail to realize. Had Calzaghe had his good hands from earlier in his career there is zero doubt the Glass Jawed Jones would have been KOed. Jones was schooled and embarrassed and made to look like the cherry picking Glass Jawed Fraud that I and others on here have been talking about. Jones career was smoke and mirrors he maneuvered through weight divisions while avoiding the best fighters and collecting vacant or paper titles that were nothing more than trinkets. His Glass Jaw is the reason why he never gave us the big fights. HBO called him Reluctant Roy for a reason. Because he was.
Joe Calzaghe is a first ballot hall of fame fighter.. And was still very much an elite fighter, though he had hand trouble, he gained a slickness in his older years. He was too much for that version of Roy, who was no longer an elite fighter.
You show me a shot fighter than can throw 1000 punches a fight and I will show you Santa Clause.:deal But the rest of your post is spot on..
Coming from a Jones fan, there was absolutely no shame for Roy in what happened in this fight.. He came out and went for the early KO, but came up a bit short. He fought through a nasty cut for the first time, denied to have the fight stopped.. He showed heart and sportsmanship.. Calzaghe himself has enourmous respect for Roy, recently admired Roy's success in the sport and even went on to say that he knows he didn't beat prime Roy.
M Ayres was able to do so, when past best, as I recall. Throwing many punches doesnt mean Calzaghe wasnt well past his best Have you got those links? Thought not. Terrible duck from Herol the most boring poster on ESB. Another irrelevant post. Do you know why Echoles backed out of facing Calzaghe? Anyway. Links or dont bother wasting time, boring ducker I dont think Roy was ever going to beat a fighter like Calzaghe, who is an ATG top 10 along with other greats like Marciano, Robinson, Michalczewski, Leonard, Ottke, Moore etc. I have a strong feeling Mayweather will join that high calibre list of greats
Who the 4uck is this pencil necked gimp? :nut :roflatsch Team Elite are the pride of ESB, we are an advertisers dream and responsible for 95.7% of the hits this website receives :deal Its no secret that a Team Elite Generals profile view only clicks over once per thousand views to avoid software meltdown. I have recieved over 2.1 million profile views such is the demand to read the latest snippets of Team Elite Information :yep I wonder how many profile views 'theword' has received in 5 years on ESB?:think I'm gonna take a guess at around 250? What do you reckon - Higher or Lower?
Joe had some of the best stamina I have ever seen.. It was one of his major strengths, one that never left him. Joe also had some of the best wins of his career from 06 on.. and was coming off of arguably his best win over B.Hop. I am not saying he was peak, but I think certainly not shot. DM?? In my opinion Roy had a better resume than DM just at LHW.. Not to mention Roy's was a world champ at 3 other weights..
:happy What an amazing and accurate post. 95.7%. That has dropped a bit. It was at one time over 97%, but I have been told that the amount on new posters on ESB has grown massively and more than doubled, which once again shows the amazing impact Team Elite has had on this forum :rasta
Roy won a vacant belt at Middleweight. Had a handful of fights at 168 and won a trinket belt there also. Jones was never THE champion at Middleweight or Super Middleweight. DM was THE champion at Light Heavyweight along with being WBO, WBA, IBF, champion. Jones then in turn won the WBA and IBF paper belts after DM was stripped. I would argue DM being THE champion trumped anything Jones did up to that point.
You're not gonna believe this one Bailmeister :roflatsch I've just checked 'thewords' profile and in 5 years on esb he has received just 8 profile views :rofl That has to be some kind of record, this twig wristed dork had the sheer audacity to enter a Team Elite Superthread with only 8 profile views to his no-mark name Surely we can't allow another obscure nincampoop like this to slip through security and interact with a Team Elite Gereral atsch
