    Roy dominated from 1993-2003. In 4 different weight classs. If you are going to accuse Roy Jones of cherry picking even though he has an amazing resume IMO. Then, you have to question Calzaghe's resume as well. He has some fighters on their that make you say WTF.

    Talk all the mess about John Ruiz that you want but he holds wins over Holyfield, Johnson, Rahman, Oquendo, and Golota. Joned dominated him.

    i did say in my original post, if you had read it, that "you could argure that Jo's opposition was sub par during his reign"....

    Personally I think both fighters fought below their skill level a lot of the time and but what I am driving at is towards the end of Jos career he has fought the 2 top young undefeated contenters and dominated them...then beat Hop and RJJ (RJJ soundly) where as Roy got ko'd twice and has looked like **** since.....this has diminished his legacy somewhat ....yes there are part of Roys career/comp that are better then Jo's....agreed roy is a ****en legend ...but i still think Jo now has a better legacy..

    1) i never said he was a better fighter
    2) i never said I dont like roy
    3) I never said roy doesnt have a legacy...

    but for the sake of the argument I feel Jo has a better lecacy given the way his has ended.....so ****en relax all you overly sensative roy boys...:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    yes I agree but it is also a big part of it.....very big....

    it also depends on who you talk to....we all know that legacies are subjective and speculative...

    my view is....and **** its just an opinon.....is that Jo's has a better legacy....:yep

    now that I have stired up a **** storm I am gunna have to leave it with you ladies as Im off home its home time here in Sydney.... :yep

    Roy rates higher head to head and has better wins on his resume, and he won his fights, in his prime, more convincingly, he also achieved more at a larger variety of weight-classes. No. Joe does not have a better legacy than Jones. Joe fought nobody throughout his entire reign at super-middle until he beat Lacy and Kessler. Kessler gave him a good, tough fight, and Lacy is just a shitty, one dimensional fighter. Kessler and Hopkins are his most note-worthy wins, Lacy is up there just for the dominant way in which he won the fight, not because Lacy was really anything special.

    along with the fact that there are strong rumours (and they are just rumours) that RJJ was using roids earlier in his career then I don't think it is fair to put RJJ higher up the rankings than JC. JC is undefeated and has been a dominant champ for more than 10 years at two weights.

    If you hang on being undefeated, Jones had a longer undefeated run then Joe - stick that in you pipe and smoke it.
