everyone thought hatton had a grade A chin till he faced mayweather

joes hardly been hit on the chin, Hopkins put him down with a tiny little punch. ANd nearly decked him again in the middle of the fight with headbutts

he knows how to anticipate punches, hes got a B- chin.... if he faced a prime roy jones, prime hopkins you'd see how good a chin he'd have

them kessler uppercuts wasnt that hard!!!

Is there someone who could provide me with the list of chins - so I will know where Grade A chin is on the scale.

    Someone like McCall is A+.

Joe is not quite that level so A or arguably A- for me.

I think the only time he has ever been hurt or buzzed from a knockdown was the Mitchell fight. You knew he was hurt because instead of boxing sensibly he knew he had to get him out of there. I miss watching that version of Joe these days.

I miss those days to mate. ****in loved when he just went wild west on mother ****ers that tagged him. In truth though he's adapted and that is his great strength and i must say thats what sets him apart from his piers. He could'nt go wild against Kessler coz Kessler is a monster and frankly may well have knocked him out if he had left himself open like that. He's such a beautiful boxer, i mean just look at rounds 5 and 6 in the Kessler fight. That was perfect boxing, Joe had him so under control with his skill that it looked like a demonstration.

Anyways back to his chin, i love the way all the haters, and thats what they are by the way, seem to conveniently omit from memory that Mitchell was a verified banger, one of the hardest punchers in SMW history and at the time was a top 3 SMW. And then theres Lacy. Lacy was being called 'the hardest puncher in any weight division' was a 'knockout artist' was an 'animal' etc He hit joe flush 2 or 3 times and it done.....................wait for it..................**** all. Joe aint McCall coz he aint a crack head, so he never hung his own chin out to dry purposefully. Still McCall's chin is the bench mark. Is Joes chin that good? i doubt it but only coz no one else's is either. Truthfully i dont know if its as good as McCalls coz like i said he never put himself in that position so i dont really know. What i do know is he's been tagged heavy a few times and never looked in trouble. Even in the Mitchell fight as soon as he got up i seen his eyes and knew then that it was rage and embarisment i saw not disorientation and fear.

Conclusion? He's got a grade A chin, harder than a coffin nail but in truth its that good, its never truely been tested.

I wouldn't call it grade A but it's very decent all the same.

He took some great headbutts from Bernard and looked unfazed.

If he ever faces Pavlik, that chin would definitely get a test for sure.
