    Twat.

Calzaghe is 36. He's hardly in his prime himself.

Hopkins just beat the P4P #5/6/7. So don't give me some **** about him being 'very' old. 43 he may be, but he just beat the **** out of a 26 year old world-class fighter. He's still elite himself.

    How old was Lacy?

    How old was Kessler?

People keep going on about Jones and Hopkins age, but before he fought these two he was faced two prime fighters 10 years or so younger than him in Kessler and Lacy. Americans (the haters) need to shut the **** up and take it, your boy seen to!

PS. RJJ is still a pimp.

He unified titles against young undefeated Lacy and Kessler. These were the fellow beltholders at his weight and he won against both very convincingly. I have a feeling you predicted Lacy would hand Joe his ass. Lacy was dominant before that fight and Joe destroyed his career. Kessler has been excellent after as well and easily beat Andrade, who seems to get so much respect around here from some of the same people who denigrate Calzaghe.

Give it a break. You think that by definition if Joe beats them, they must have sucked.

And Dawson fought a really old guy in Johnson and didn't even deserve the decision. Different standards are being applied. And Joe DID outpoint BHop, despite revisionist history, and BHop proved he was still one of the greats by decisively beating the young prime Pavlik, who all the Calzaghe haters were saying Joe was afraid to fight. Obviously Joe would have boxed rings around Pavlik, but still would have received no credit.

    Great post...

Chris Eubank - in his prime - Beaten handily by Calzaghe

Robin Reid - in his prime - Beaten by Calzaghe

Jeff Lacy... in his absolute prime - DESTROYED by Calzaghe (actually, career RUINED by Joe)

Sakio Bika... in his prime - Beaten handily by Calzaghe

Mikkel Kessler... in his prime - Beaten convincingly by Calzaghe

Bernard Hopkins... past his prime but arguably, after the Pavlik performance, Bernard has no "past his prime" - Beaten by Calzaghe

Again... thanks for the great post. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

    :rofl

Eubank was not at his prime at that stage..........he was at the tail end of his career but he still had enough left in the tank and know how to make it Calzaghes toughest fight
