Calzaghe has made a career by fighting past their primes fighters???

After this fight he also moved up to crusierweight and had two very competitive fights with Carl Thompson (of KOing Haye fame)
He wasn't in his absolutely prime, although only 30 (I think) but was still a tough competitor

 

why would you be so bitter about something you quite obviously dont have a clue about?

its embarrassing that you people still think calzaghe is a bad fighter!

ya jones was shot, but he was still dangerous and joe abosolutely destroyed him!back in there primes, maybe jones would of got a decision, but only maybe!take out joes showboating and give him a 6 year younger body and jones would still find it very very tough!

i actually think calzaghe would win prime for prime!

 

it was a good win, lets have some objectivity here, both guys are old, WELL past their prime. It's just as easy to say Joe is shot, he cant even sit down on his punches anymore, so in my eyes it's a level playing field.

Jones started well like Hopkins did, but like Hopkins he also had the right hand taken away from him. People that understand the fight game noticed this, shame most of the **** wits in the general forum cant grasp that.

I really wanted Jones to win and retire on a high, but it wasn't to be. All the BS threads about it are laughable though, it was a good entertaining fight and the best one that could be made at light heavyweight.

in the sport cause he lost every round to nard. While joe won 9-3(minus the kd) against hops.

Don't equate Americans with Calzaghe haters. It may be that most Calzaghe haters are Americans, but not the other way around.

And a lot of British fans gave BHop more credit than he deserved in his fight with Calzaghe, as I recall from various comments on the news portion of this site.
