Not looking good & showing skills are two different things

I don't think Roy will have any problems landing on Calzaghe, whether he is aggressive or not, Roy still has good timing and quick hands. I think its just going to come down to Calzaghe's superior work rate and pressure. As soon as Roy goes into his shell on the ropes Calzaghe will let his hands go and even if half the punches are hitting glove (which will happen a lot, Roys no Winky but his newfound guard is decent) its going to look good with the judges.

They could be right though, to be honest its total guesswork at the moment, its all going to come down to Roy's mental state in my opinion. If he can pull the trigger and let his hands go, he may just scare Calzaghe into a more refined tactical approach. But really volume is going to be Calzaghe's best asset, he isn't really faster than Roy, he is sloppier with his timing and can't match his power. His sheer volume will definitely create a lot of counter punching opportunities but whether Roy can capitalise on that is another story, he hasn't shown that he is particularly capable against C level light heavyweights in his last three fights. But he also looked lazy as though he was just playing around, against Tito it looked like if he really wanted to he could have just let his hands go and most shots would land and Tito would be in serious trouble. Im hoping he was just fighting down to their level and Calzaghe's work rate will spark Jones into throwing consistant counters.

What has made Joe so great will be his undoing come tomorrow night ..He's been someone who has been able to adjust to any fighter but when has he had a fighter with both power and speed that Jones brings ? He may be able to adjust to the power but not the speed or vice versa!
