Calzaghe, Hatton, Taylor, Mosley and more predict Hopkins vs Pavlik

Interesting that many fighters are picking Hopkins and most journos Pavlik.

 

Can de la hoya please tell me what are pavlik's weaknesses? I would love to know.:rofl

 

Susceptible to an overhand right and quick combos as shown in both Taylor fights and to an extent even the Miranda fight (overhand rights). Squares up a lot and even though he has a great chin has show that he can obviously be hurt. I know he's a good fight, but Jesus Christ he's 26 with 1 title defense, so obviously there's still a learning curve.

 

Well DLH, and Mosley are obviously going to pick Bhop. Bhop is their fighter for ****s sake. Taylor just said he likes hops chances but didnt seem confident on who would win.

 

i remember all the journos saying similar things about jeff lacy against calzaghe. i have a feeling this could be another embarrassing night for the journos.

I would take a fighters expertise over a writers...I got BHop via decison, or late TKO...Pav is gonna come right in...he's not defensive at all. Don't be surprised.

Something is telling me Hopkins wins. Pavlik is good, but not yet tested and yes he has weaknesses. Also, this is not a MW fight. Pavlik is a good MW so why take a chance at LHW. He is going to hurt his chances at become a unified MW champ. You can't keep moving up and down in weight. It will catch up to him. He has to decide which weight division he really wants to fight.
