its amazing when a guy loses he bitches, but all he had to do was fight hard and be aggressive ...and if your gonna ***** about the judges...try and knock the guy out earlier than waiting till 30 seconds left in round 12

Joe and Bernard are almost as bad at each other, both seem to be full of **** with some of the things they say.

 

but he also missed so damn much. Since then Hopkins had his atg performance against Pavlik and Hopkins I think would lay it more out there for the Calzaghe fight if they were to fight again and i predict a very good fight.:good

Why are we arguing over a fight, that everyone on this forum analysed over and over, and Calzaghe didn't really lose a round since round 3 ( i rewatched it, and changed my mind on round 10 too, Joe won that based on the work before Hopkins took a break)? Hopkins cheated and he knows it, he should have had a point deducted for his constant holding and butting, but he didn't, and despite all of that Joe clearly won.

 

Hopkins landed at will on Pavlik because nothing, I repeat nothing, was coming back in return.

Calzaghe must have a little bit in his fists because ol'Bernie spent the second half of the fight on his bike.

 

so am i i remember one guy on the setanta panel thought hopkins had done enough bbc gave the fight to bernard, one national newspaper did and boxing news the UK magazine basically in no uncertain terms conceded joe only got the decision because of workrate

 

watch again without your joe-tinted glasses...hopkins was still landing effectively through until round 8...joe didnt properly take over until the 9th yes he picked up after 4 but i score fights based on clean effective punching not on aggression

 

If it was anyone else but Hopkins in the ring and the performance was exactly the same, there'd be no arguments whatsoever against Calzaghe winning and everyone would universally hate the tactics Hops employed like in the worst Ruiz fight.. Just like Picasso could **** on a canvas and get 7 figures. If I do, it'd go for substantially less, but it still doesn't make it any less of a crap performance.

 

I'm British too and the BBC had Hopkins winning, as did I and several other people I know.

Many people also felt he beat Hopkins, two of the ringside judges included.
Haters like you love bringing up Mario Veit as if Joe asked for the fight himself, well you probably already know this but choose not to mention it as it ruins your argument, Veit had boxed himself into position as Joes mandatory for the 2nd time and Joe took the fight or he'd have lost his WBO belt. Joe didn't want the fight and neither did Frank Warren.

 

You cant really blame hopkins for having an IQ belove average - the man has had a hard life but came thou and showed the world what a great boxer he is.
Im sure he didnt meen to be racist. He was trying to get to Calzaghe before the fight thats all

 

Too bad Hopkins will always be rated far above you then Joe, in any serious all-time pound-for-pound list.
