Booing during Nat'l Anthems falls under freedom of speech, although I wholeheartedly disagree with anyone that boos any nat'l anthem.

That being said, both anthems should be sung.

I just hope I can hear and watch the fight in peace. All the people singing for Ricky Hatton as he got his frame tore to pieces was rather annoying

**** national anthems, this is a sport, not a political rally.

While it's nice that there is a Ring title on the line, it's not a proper world title and you know it.

THis is wrong. All events held in the US, especially international ones should open with our national anthem being played and it should be the same for other countries, in Spain, the spanish national anthem should be played and etc.

To say the Welsh fans won't boo the american anthem is ridiculous.

Im Welsh and I was disgusted with the welsh fans who booed during the Calzaghe vs Manfredo fight.

Thank god they are not singing them I say, because what went (in american eyes) the best supporters in the world turned to the most hated during the singing of the anthems for Hatton vs Mayweather.

I'll sit there and quite happily boo the American AND British national anthems. I think bringing nationalist politics into this sport makes it much worse, and I believe that I have the same right to boo and anthem as someone has to sing it.

You get disgusted by British fans booing an anthem? I get disgusted by people singing it in the first place.

Americans are so ****ing narrow minded and patriotic, every single other country in Europe boo's the other team's national anthem. Its part of the ritual, and it shows the national anthems and all that other bull**** pageantry the appropriate level of disrespect.

3,245 page thread about booing at the hatton v mayweather fight.

now no national anthems americans saying that anthems should be played ? and risk a repeat of the same debacle.

calzaghe fans booed the danish anthem, good chance of some booing american anthem ?

i think its sensible no anthems have been agreed.

unless people think this fight in the build up will be jovial good humored banter between the 2 and the fans will all get on great given that hopkins is making it a usa v uk fight and a black v white fight **** stirring.

IMO play the anthems and if a large calzaghe contingent is present the american national anthem will be booed.

ring magazine belt itself, although we know about it has about the same circulation as a womens knitting magazine on how do do little johnny whonny a fluffy wuffy jumper for xmas.

National anthem or not, Hopkins is gonna make the younger Calzaghe look painfully bad at times.

At least one of the anthems will be sung.

Not having an official singing won't stop the Welsh fans singing Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau. Can't speak for the Americans.
