are the fighters representing their country in any way?NO,there should be no national anthems, all it does is create bitterness and dislike for the other side. good call.
Probably the right thing to do. Why risk drunked idiots booing the US anthe again, it was embarrassing the first time round so it will be even worse if it happend a second time. And anyway, the Welsh will be singing regardless!
yep. absolutely ****ing gutted. but somehow i think the welsh fans might just break into song in the first or second round.
LMAO I was taught it in school and always belt it out down the "Arms Park" much to the Mrs's disgust ,especially after a few pre Match pints , but go for it mate .
Whilst the booing of national anthems is disgraceful, if Cortez was influenced during the Hatton fight then they shouldn't have an American ref in a match where one of the fighters is American. In the World Cup, the ref is never from the same country as the 2 countries on the pitch.
I thought he was a Maesteg boy!? Sure he lived in SA for a while and spoke like Teichmann but he was a legitimate Welshman.
The referee can be biased if he wants. Calzaghe basically told Hopkins he could pick the venue, referee, judges, everything. Calzaghe can have no excuses, he knew what he'd be up against from day 1. Cortez is better than it ought to have been.
Didn't know that - well, you learn something new everyday. Out of curiosity, how is the ref chosen (for all matches)?
